Good morning!
Just an easy week for me as I get ready for the weekend. Some easy runs from Monday to Wednesday and then I'm taking Thursday and Friday as a couple of rest days. Saturday will be a very short run and then it's on to the race!
Sisu, we had snow for a good part of the day yesterday but nothing stuck to the ground. Luckily I got my run in before everything started.
Nicole, congratulations to your girls! Those medals look awesome! Love the picture!
Andi and Lee, save up some energy for Sunday! The buses leave early so it looks like we'll be heading out from here bright and early. We'll work together for a plan.
Amber, hope you guys didn't get much snow.
SB, You must need a break from your busy weekend! Congrats to DS for pulling off the win!
Ron, take care of that leg. Smart idea to give it a rest before it gets worse.
Have a great day!

Hey Paul! I'm excited for your race this weekend. I definitely won't be able to be there but I'll be cheering you all on! Enjoy your easy week!

We got about 3" of snow and it's the heavy wet snow so not really any fun. I'm going to bootcamp class this morning and then tomorrow and Thursday will be easy days because I'm shooting for another long run (hopefully 20) on Friday.

Morning my running friends. I will work out tonight. I will lift then stretch and see how the leg feels. The weather should be good today then it will rain the next few days. We are about 4 inches above normal rain fall for the year so that is probably a good thing for us.

Enjoy your easy runs this week Paul and rest those legs for the weekend.

Hi Sisu..ish to snow!! Enjoy boot camp today!

Ron...any flooding for you guys? What is up with the leg?

Well weare in a winter storm warning for today to tomorrow! I am afraid this shit is going to stick around too as the temps are going back down to the mid 20's thru the weekend!! March is always such a stormy month here....I am just tired of looking at snow! No running last night...went out for supper and overdosed on mexican food! tonight I will get in 3-4. Have a great Tuesday!

Hey Staci the flooding and mud slide are near the foothills. Not really by where we live. My leg is the same problem that I had last year but I think it will be good in a day or so. I hope your weather gets better soon.

I totally love my bootcamp class! Full body workout with weights, TRX, core, plyometrics, balance exercises, etc. I'm getting better at doing all of the push ups which makes me really happy.

Ron - I thought it was spring, too. Doesn't look that way outside though! Have a good workout later and I hope the leg is OK.

Staci - Sorry about the storm warning - ugh. NO more snow!!! I would love to OD on some Mexican food right now! Hope you have a good run tonight :)

Paul - there is a big debate going on in my head about the 20 miler this week. The coach who created the training plan and knows all about my IT band woes recommends I start cutting back on my long runs. He has me scheduled for a 2 hour run this Friday instead of a 20 miler. My RP really wants to get a 20 miler in (she is following the same plan) so she's going to go for it. My chiro who is my ART guy and is helping me with the IT band says I should go for 20. I dunno! I guess I'll see how I feel on Friday and go from there.

Good morning SB! Hope the weather breaks soon. March is a little crazy here to, but nowhere near what you guys experience there.

Sisu, just give the leg an extra 2 days of rest and then run 20 on Sunday. You can have lots of company!

What is a cardio besides swimming where I don't use my legs? Is it offensive if I start training in a wheelchair?

Amber..double ick on the white crap!! hope you get some nice warm temps and it melts QUICKLY! It is supposed to be heavy and wet here as well and could get 10-16"!! I am hoping they are wrong!! :) Good luck on the lottery and getting thru your busy day! :)

Ron..hope the leg feels better!! So what is do you consider "cool" and if you say any temp 50* or higher, I will reach thru this computer and beat you! :)

dh just came home and he was able to find the bolt we need to fix the snowblower! we were worried we wouldnt be able to find an the exact match without ordering. YAY! A few wks back a bolt felt off the damn thing and we lost it, so then it wouldnt start...we were thinking we were probably done using it for the winter anyhow and would just shovel....well, 10-16" of wet heavy snow will be a little more then I care to shovel and highs in the mid 20's thru the wkend mean the shit isn't going anywhere soon!! ICK! But at least now I can watch dh snowblow from the comfort of my living room couch!! :)

Staci we are going to have rain the next few days and I can see snow in the mountains. That has to count for something. When are you going to Southern Cal to watch the Dodger, Padres and Angels?
