Good morning!

I finally broke my treadmill. Didn't think I could wear it out but I guess all things will wear out sooner or later. Don't know if I should buy new parts or a new treadmill.

About 300.00 in parts from what I can see. I guess that's better than shelling out some big dough for a new one.

Good morning Suds - I smiled when I read your post. I'm surprised it took this long for the treadmill to wear out with the amount of use it gets. good luck deciding to fix or replace.

I am going out for a run soon. I'm scheduled for 5. Too bad it's so much colder today than yesterday. But, Friday should be really nice!

Hey!

Sorry about your TM Paul. I agree that you've put that TM through a lot so I'm surprised you haven't had any issues with it. What brand is it? Do you have to do the work yourself? When you replace it don't buy a Vision FItness. Just sayin'

Andi - hope you had a good 5mi run. Is it really windy there, too?

Ron - have a good workout later and a good day at work.

I just finished a boring 6mi run on the TM. I had to throw in 6x400s which was kinda fun. Dd11 is home again today - not sure exactly what she has but it sure has knocked her down. I'm hoping she'll be OK to go to school tomorrow but we'll see.

Amber - the run will make you feel better! I had a really hard time motivating myself to get on the TM this morning but now I feel a lot better and I'm so glad I did it. Once you get moving you'll be fine!

Considering the use I gave it, I'm pretty happy with how it held up. I have a Pro Form 840 and would get another Pro Form if I was to go that route. Looks like I'll be installing the new parts instead of getting a whole new unit. Sisu, I do the work myself. Changing pullies and a belt is just like working on a car!

Ron - it was fun to try to run fast and the 400 repeats actually felt easier than I thought they would be. I think all of this time with less running and more cross training has helped me a bit. Have fun!

Amber - my dd was put on antibiotics for a sinus infection about 10 days ago and this latest episode started at the end of that round and now she's on a new type of antibiotics. She rarely gets sick and hasn't been on antibiotics in at least a couple years. Whatever she has it's really hit her hard.

I wish I had asked you for a treadmill recommendation before I bought mine, Paul! I have no doubt you'll be able to fix it easily. Hey - are you still planning to run Harpoon? Do you know if it's the first weekend in June? I haven't been able to find a definite date online yet.

Hi everyone! I'm just back from my run. 4.25 in 37 minutes. It was windy, and I'm a big baby about running in the wind, but I did it. It was a lot warmer than I expected. I didn't check the temp before I left and I definitely didn't need to have long pants on. I'm happy to report that I am succeeding with my outside running. Now that I don't have a choice, I'm just doing it. And, I am enjoying it.

Suds-Sorry about your TM. You have given it a lot of use!! It's good that you can do the work yourself. That's definitely makes it worthwhile to fix.

Andi-I hope you had a good run!

Hi Amber! Have a good run today!

Ron, I love doing speed work on the TM because once it's set you can't let up your pace at all.

I'm glad I wasn't doing speedwork this morning when it broke. Then I would be buying new pants because I probably would have soiled myself when the roller let go.
