Good morning!

The power finally came back on last night! Just in time, too. As I drove home, the temp outside was at 19 degrees and dropping. It finally came on around 7:00, 23 hours after it went out. Well, at least I was able to get my run in this morning!

We were much better off than a lot of people near the coast. Tides were higher than normal and the winds were bringing the ocean right to their front doors. One of the guys who works here got flooded. His Corvette was 4 feet under water as well as everything on the lower floor of his house.

Wow, Paul, that flooding sounds awful! I can't imagine my house flooding in those temps - how do you even start to clean that up?? Glad your power came back on in time to avoid frozen pipes. Glad you were able to get your run in this morning!

Looks like I'll be on the TM today as the windchill is really low and I have no desire to tip toe around the patches of ice on the roads. I have no idea how much snow we ended up with but it sure looks nice. I guess it's time to put my snow tires on my car!

Good morning! I cycled for 45 minutes this morning. I ran 3 miles in the snow yesterday. I hate most things about the snow, but I love running in it.

Suds - I'm glad your power came back on. We were lucky and only lost it for 2 minutes or so, just long enough to have to reset the coffee maker.

Paul, next time you don't have power for that long call us. We have a generator you can use as long as we aren't already using it. And we are lucky that we have a wood burning stove in the basement that keeps the house at least warm enough to keep the pipes from freezing.

Morning my running friends. I will work out at some point today. My parents took my brothers family along with me and the kids to dinner last night. We had a good time.

Glad the electricity came back on last night Paul. What was the temp on the inside of the house?

Susan haven't you been talking about the snow tires for a while now? hahaha glad you got a run in.

Andi good job on getting the work out in. I was up but just couldn't get going this morning.

Good mornign Sisu! Have a good run-TM is better than a sprained ankle!

Good morning Andi! Lucky you kept the power on! I think I should invest in a generator also, just in case. Maybe someday a wood burning stove, too.

Good morning Ron! Glad you had a good night-enjoy the workout later. The temp in my house only got down to 53, but the real cold temps were only just starting. Not too bad for 23 hours with no heat on.
