Hi Paul and Chosha!

Paul - glad you enjoyed your weekend. Have a good day at work.

Chosha - good job on that c25k. Enjoy your walk at lunch.

I did a speed workout this morning on the TM. I'm running a 10k this weekend as part of a relay so my coach adjusted my plan and I have an easier week than I thought I would have. Busy day with play dates, dance class, camp, birthday parties, etc. Have a great day!

Good morning Sisu! Sounds like a nice full day ahead of you!

I miss doing speed work. I feel slow and sluggish right now but I'm glad to be running.

Good luck this weekend. Which relay is it?

I'm doing The Great Race in Auburn, NY. It's a run, bike, canoe relay and my father in law and sister in law will canoe and my dh will bike. Should be lots of fun! I've only run two other 10ks so I'm looking forward to it. You'll get back on track with the speed work eventually but in the meantime it's frustrating I'm sure. I'm happy you are running too and I hope you are starting to feel better.

Hey, that sounds like a good time! Hope the weather cooperates for you!

I'm hoping that in the fall I'll be feeling good enough to be mad at myself for not registering for a marathon.

I hear ya Paul! I hope you are feeling that good, too. Do you feel like you are making progress? If you get the desire to run on 10/17 feel free to come to Lowell and run part of the race with me! That would be awesome!!

Hey guys.

Sisu - Great job on the speed workout!

Paul - How has the recovery been?

Chosha -Good deal on the C25K, I think I am starting over tomorrow.

Tomorrow is run, plus swim. I think I will do the C25K again and see where it takes me. I am actually doing a slow workup to a sprint Tri, no particular race I just need to do more cross training and reduce the pounding on my knees. I won't be doing anything more than 5 to 10k for at least a year and will reconsider a half marathon next fall.

Hey guys!!

I want to run. Like really REALLY bad. I'm meeting w/ my running coach tomorrow to discuss some cross training options. I know it probably sounds WAY lazy (and it really is) but when I exercise, I just like going w/o thinking. I run (or swim) to just be and not think, or count, or anything. I just go to let go and go as far as my body will take me. If it isn't far enough, I try to push further. I have NO desire to do reps of anything and then have to stop and think what is next. Bad, huh? That is probably why I get injured b/c I don't do the things (i.e. stretching, strength) that I should. Maybe this is a wake up call.

So is anyone besides Gaela going to do the VB 1/2? I'm still planning on going and if I can, I am going to run portions w/ people. Not Gaela though b/c she is too fast. :)

Just got back from an attempted walk in the park. Tried to put my running shoes on and it hurt like hell. Still went only to see my entire running group and coach finishing up a run. Made me very very sad. Started crying and embarressed the snot out of my family for crying in the middle of a public park. LOL!! Just preparing the girls for future "proud mommy" moments!! Thank God I am going to see my running coach tomorrow to do SOMETHING. Believe it or not, I asked my husband (after he saw me cry) to clean up my........ bike. Maybe after my appt. next week I will be cleared to bike.
