Hey everyone!

Cold here this morning! I bet you're happy to have your TM to use this morning Paul!

Andi has inspired me so I'm putting it out here so you all can keep me accountable. I'm going to a bootcamp class this morning. I know nothing about this gym or the people who run the class and I'm nervous about it but I'm going to try it. I need to get out of my routine! I'll report back later if I survive.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning Sisu! Yes, I'm sure glad I had the TM this morning! I prefer to do hill repeats on my TM anyway, but if I had to go out there at 3:00 this morning it would have sucked big time!

Andi braved the cold this morning, she must have been hurting with the icy wind.

Good luck with boot camp and enjoy!

Good morning! I got up and out for a little over 6 this morning. It was one of the coldest, windiest runs this winter. I swore a lot!

Sisu - Have a blast at boot camp. You are going to love it!

Suds - Smart to stay inside today. I must be lacking in the intelligence department!

Andi - The only thing worse than running in really cold weather is running in cold weather with wind! Great job!

Sudsy - good job on the hills. how is the leg feeling?

I did it! and I loved the class!! Wow, what a great workout and a lot of fun, too. I haven't done that many push-ups in years and I'm going to be really sore tomorrow but it will be a good sore. It's been so many years since I've done a class like this and I now realize how much I miss it! I thought about going for a short run later today but not sure yet. Off to run a bunch of errands.

Morning my running friends. I got a good run in last night with some repeats. It felt good to run a little faster then I have been. The gym was really busy so that interfered with my weight work out. I should have worked out this morning too but I didn't. Maybe something at lunch.

Susan bootcamp does sound fun. I need to try that.

Paul good job on the hill work out.

Andi I would have turned around and went to my TM if it was cold and windy.

Susan-Great job on going to bootcamp! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

Suds-Good job on your run this morning. It's good that you were able to stay inside.

Andi-Way to take on the cold and wind and kick it's a$$!!! I hope it warms up soon. Spring has got to be right around the corner.

Hubby-I'm sorry you didn't go to the gym this morning, but I am so happy that you stayed in bed with me! :) I hope you are having a good morning.

Sisu, glad you enjoyed the class! Sounds like a great workout!

Hi Ron, nice job with the speed work. To bad you didn't get to the gym this morning but I'm sure it was worth it.

Fer, nice run last night! Hope you get another one later!

SB! Keep a camera handy just in case, you know we're here to help! Sounds like a great weekend coming up for you, have a blast! Yes, I prefer the tm for the hills so I can get a nice incline. I warm up for 2 miles, set it at 10% and do quarter mile runs with a short walk in between. Today called for 7 and I was pretty well spent at the end.

Hi Amber! Hope you get that run in! Don't forget, you can always get up at 3:00 and do it. I'll send a wake up call tomorrow. :)

SUDS--LOL--I WISH I could get up early like you--I just CANT..I talk myself out of it everytime--or get up and am miserable and go back to bed after 30mins...I have set my alarm all week to get up but the nights here have been long and interrupted--so I end up shutting it off.....maybe tomorrow --LOL--btw glad you have your tm back--was it hard to fix?

Staci I think it is great the way you keep up with all your old friends. I don't talk to anyone from my high school.

amber don't beat yourself up about working out. It will happen when you can. Life is busy just enjoy what you can.

Suds thanks! I have just been hitting the hill workout on the tm! I think it builds up to 1.5 (is that 15% then?). I usually slow jog (10:30 or so) on the decline and try to keep it around 9:30-9:50 on the inclines...which is about 30-50 secs slower then half pace. 7 miles of hills! WTG!! I need to build!
Amber..are you starting the after school program yourself? will you be working there?? Very cool!

Ron we had a lot of fun together growing up ( got in a little trouble together too! :) ) We went some yrs without seeing much of each other but always stayed somewhat connected until about 10yrs ago or so and then we started making a point to see each other!! We have a lot of laughs together and it just feels good to be with them! :) I think our spouses get a little sick of our stories though!! They are def true friends.

SB, I only did 7 quarter mile hill repeats! 7 miles of hills would be a little rough on me.

My tm goes from 1 to 10 on the incline settings, with 10 being 10% of an incline. I wish my treadmill went up to 15% though. Next one I get will go higher than 10.

Staci my HS wasn't really that big compared to others around here. When I went they opened another HS in the district so our attendance went down for a few years. When we were seniors most of the kids stayed at the other school. We had about 2,000 students and our class was under 200. We got drowned out in assembly's.

My TM goes to 15% but you would never know it. I don't think I have been above 5%.

I see a few people from college but that is about it for me.

I will do hill repeats soon.

Paul inbetween your repeats do you leave the TM at an incline and jog slower or walk or do you flatten it out?
