Sudsy - sounds like a great workout!! I know how much you love hills! :) Good job.

Amber - hope your busy day goes well. Enjoy the wine later.

Ron - hope you are having a good day. How do you decide what to do for lifting? Do you have a certain routine? I never lift weights anymore.

I was going to run and do the elliptical and the gym but it was packed when I got there and I refuse to wait in line to exercise! Instead I x/c skied for a bit but my balance was all wacky. I was flailing all over the place and it just felt wrong. The technique is hard enough for me to master but with my balance being off it was downright comical. I called it quits at about 35min. Too bad, too, because they were grooming the snow while I was there and it was perfect! I guess my clogged up ears from this stupid cold are affecting my equilibrium! Off to get my kids off the bus!

Susan I usually just lift weight for my upper body. I work out each body part twice a week. I have done this since I graduated from HS. I have never taken any supplements so with my body type it makes it hard for me to put on muscle. Most of the time I like it more then running. Running also makes it hard to add muscle. I can run about 25 miles a week before it really starts to affect my strength. It is not like I am huge. I am 5'10" 175 lbs. If I didn't lift and I just ran I would probably be Kenyan skinny. I don't really want that look even if I was faster. Lifting does hurt my running though. I get tired sometimes because my upperbody is sore and breathing becomes harder at times. Probably too much info. hahaha

Susan you don't need to lift what ever you are doing keep doing it.
