Good morning!

Happy Birthday Amber!

A few hill repeats this morning and a small workout. I'm glad the week is winding down, it's still a bit messy out there. It will be warming up for the weekend so I'm hoping we can get rid of a lot of this mess.

SB, that is great news about your grandmother! And good luck with your pending snow storm.

Susan, I would be lost without my TM. Hope it's ok.

Good morning Suds! I'm glad it's going to warm up too. I am not enjoying the cold!

Hope everyone had a great holiday! Now that I have high speed internet and a new laptop, I'm hoping to be around here more 'cause I miss you guys! I have today off to spend with the kids, but they have been invited to spend the afternoon with friends which in their eyes is way more fun than being with me. Tonight I'll run on the treadmill at the gym where dd6 has gymnastics.

Good morning! I got up and out for 4 miles this morning. It was slow going because the side streets weren't plowed very well and they have frozen over.

Amber - Happy Birthday! We have no plans for New Year's Eve.

Suds - I'm glad the week is winding down as well.

Marianne - I'm glad to see you back here. How was your holiday?

SB - I'm so happy to here about your grandmother. Something similar happened with my grandma last year. A lung x-ray showed a spot and they said her breast cancer had come back and had spread. She opted to forgo treatment because it would kill her faster than the cancer. Good thing since a follow up x-ray showed the spot had disappeared and the doctor now thinks she may have been recovering from pneumonia instead of having cancer.

Amber ~ Sounds like a fun day! We are spending New Years Eve with friends - it will be a laid back night!

Andi ~ WTG on your run! Much better outside than on the treadmill, I bet - even with the slow going! We had a great holiday! Very busy, but filled with fun! One of these years I will get started with preparations much earlier! How was yours?

Hi Suds..glad to hear you are getting dug out! I thought of you yesterday my brother and dh were talking abuot fenway and wrigley,,,fenway is def nxt on our bucket list of places to go! Spriing baseball seems so far off but gosh I am ready!!

Hi Marianne..so good to hear from you!! It would be great to see you around again....the group has def gotten smaller but I am enjoying the more relaxed pace! Hae a great run later!

HAPPY BDAY AMBER!! enjoy the fun!!

Hey Andi...good job on getting out there! I too feel so sluggish and slow on these snowpacked icy roads and sidewalks right now! I keep telling myself it will make us faster this spring...but def rough out there right now!

QOD....a few yrs ago we decided to forgo exchanging names and gifts with dh's brothers and wives and instead pick a night that works for all of us (he has 4 brothers) and get together for a specialnight of Christmas dinner/drinks/games/etc. We do a little $10 gift exchange, have prime rib and eat, drink and be merry! It is so fun and so much better then just exchanging a $50 gift like we were! This yr it worked out for all to do it on New years instead of before Christmas....but unfortunately we have a terrible forecast for the next few days..very.icy, windy and snow today and then tomorrow there is supposed to be another storm system behind this one and we could see a blizzard from fri night into sat. :( I am thinking it may be cancelled and we will have a quiet new years at home which will be ok too but it is such a fun night i was looking forward to it! Hope all of you have a wonderful new years!

We will be stuck inside today and most likely tomorrow and the day after that! :) I am going to take down Christmas stuff today, a little cleaning and then games with kids, reading etc. We were supposed to take ds3 swimming with cousins today so he will be disapointed :(

Amber Happy Birthday. How does it feel to finally be able to drink legally?

Andi way to run outside. I need to do that more too.

Staci our Spring season starts in January. My oldest may just be playing with one team in the Spring. I want to go to Fenway too. What parks are you going to next year? My brother wants us to go up to a game in Oakland next July but that park is probably the worst in the league.

Suds I am holding you to that!! my brother made it to fenway in 2009...huge red sox fan! he had a blast and loved it there!! from what he says I think the atmosphere would be like wrigley...and we love wrigley!

Ron we did have a short break this yr...done with school last wed the 22nd and go back on the 3rd. Have fun at your cousins...I spent many fun nye's at my grandparents watching dick clark and ringing in the new year! :) The boys want to go back to wrigley so i think that is the plan...we may try to go a little further east and hit another ball park...cleavland,pittsburgh etc. Ds3 really really wants to go see Abe Lincoln (his fav prez) :) at mt rushmore as well this summer so that is also being planned. traveling any further for ball parks will prob be out of the question this yr. someday I am going to get to the east and west and see some of those parks

well i had to drive out of town a little to bring ds2 to bb prac....zero visability in open country right now...horrible...not excited at all to go back and pick him up!!

Hi everyone! Just a quick drive by post. I am working today. I'm filling in at my old job for a couple of days while one of my friend's is on vacation. It's been nice working, and we can always use the extra money even though it's not much.

What do you all have planned for New Year's?

I have decided that my new year's resolution is to run a marathon this year and start lifting weights consistently.
