Hey Paul. Are you planning a marathon soon? I know I've asked you this a million times but at this moment I can't remember what you said. Sounds like you are ready!

Back to PT for me today and I'm so sore. I did a ton of one legged squats and one leg leg press on Tuesday and I'm feeling it now. I hope he doesn't want me to do more of those today! I might try to make it to the pool before I go to PT but not sure yet.

Paul-Great job on your workout as always. Have a good day. Any big plans for the weekend?

Susan-I'm sure those squats did make you sore! That sounds like torture to me! Good luck getting to the pool.

It's a quiet day for me today. I might run a little bit early today, but I'm not sure. Ron and I will probably work out after he gets home from work.

Well California is definitely a no go. Acute soleus strain. Ortho is thinking 8 weeks PT and strengthening before resuming full-on training and slow walk/run for now. At least I can still look forward to Boston.

Sounds like we are in the same situation JB. Sorry to hear that CA is a no go but having Boston to look forward to is huge. That is what is keeping me motivated to do the work to get back on track. Can you defer your CA race registration and do it next year? That is what I did for Baystate. Best of luck in your PT!

I just got back from PT and it's just so glaringly obvious that I have a major strength imbalance and I'm out of alignment. I did a ton of squats on other exercises again today and stim. I guess I'm now paying for neglecting all that strength work while training for Boston! I guess I'll keep learning this lesson over and over! haha.

Afternoon my running friends. No fun to be at work today but life goes on. I am ok but others are not. I will probably work out tonight but right now I am not feeling it.

Good job Paul on getting that work out in.

Susan you will just come back stronger. It isn't crazy hot here but it is still too hot. I guess we are paying for the mild Summer.

JB your body was just telling you to rest. You will be fine for Boston.

Jennifer relax today I will be home soon.

I have completely neglected any strength or stretching from my routine so it's no surprise that I'm in this boat. It probably didn't help that I pushed a pretty hard pace 12 miler the day before the race where I injured myself.

PT exercises have done wonders for me in the past when I stick with it. I am hoping to do some other cardio and pool running as well. Next two months will hopefully get me back on track for a good 15 week buildup to Boston.

I just have to make stretching and strength work a part of my life or I am going to continue to get injured. Susan, I'm glad to hear you are getting yourself back on track with PT as well. One of these days I will learn my lesson. The problem is I nurse myself back to health and then neglect the routines that got me there. Time to get with the program if I want to keep this running thing alive for a while.

I guess maybe I should pay attention, too. I never stretch or do strength work. I should probably heed the advice of those of you who are regretting not doing it!
