Good morning! I just returned from 5 miles with some friends. The humidity was 84%-- thank goodness I had some friends to keep me plugging along. It's only 8am and my boys are already bickering and wrestling....hopefully they are just getting everything over with (instead of it just being the beginning). Despite swimming hard for over an hour each morning they still have an enormous amount of energy.

CONGRATULATIONS BUNNIES!!!!

Suds- I always enjoy staycations! I hope you sleep in a little bit.

Sudsy, wish we could get the timing with you but we're there 8/7 - 8/14.

Did a nice 35 mile hilly ride with friends last night. Rollers after rollers with a couple monsters. What a workout. We had brownies and beers after. Boy did that taste good.

Hey guys! Think I did a little too much yesterday cuz the foot hurt worse this morning when I got up. I swam some laps at the pool yesterday but didn't kick at all so IDK.

Jen Jen - Oh, I am planning on Richmond 1/2M REGARDLESS of RNRVB 1/2M!!!

Gaela - Get out there and RUN DAMMIT!!! Who cares about humidity!!! Just jump in the pool at the end.

Sudsy - I think you need a VAcation down to NC!! Bring Tank w/ you!!

JB - The media ctr specialist at the girls school is an avid triathlete and he took quite a spill on the bike over the weekend. Is bandaged up everywhere and is walking w/ a cane. PLEASE be careful when you ride!! (but I am glad you had fun!)

Gonna try to swim again today. Waiting for my mom to pick them up so I can get some work done. Problem is, I really don't feel like doing any. I am sure once I get started it will all be good though.

Hi all! I ran a quick 3.5 yesterday and hopefully I'll get a short run again today. We've just been enjoying the summer and the community pool at our new house. It's been fun. We have a couple of days tickets to Disneyland that we need to use up before we leave on our vacation, too. We're all going to my family reunion in the mountains in Oregon the first week in August.

Suds-Have a good day! We've got a family vacation and our belated honeymoon coming up a month later. It's pretty exciting!

Jen-I don't know how you run in that humidity! I admire you!

Nic-Be careful with your foot! Cool about the new phone. I need a new phone soon, but I don't think I need anything that fancy. :)

Batmomm- I hope your run went well- the humidity has dropped but it's still very sticky out there. Andrew is in a research study to find out how his body generates antibodies so we had to go down for another shot and some blood work. After he finishes his weekly blood draws in August they send everything to Washington State and then they analyze it. We should find more out mid October. The testing is actually pretty cool from a medical stand point. He's had a great summer so far and hasn't had an infection since May. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the results are good.

Fer- I've always wanted to go to Oregon! It's on my trip list. It sounds like you're having a nice summer.

Nicole- I'm glad!! It will give me more motivation to actually train for it. I enjoy riding my bike more than running these days. Take care of that foot of yours!

Well I floated more than swam during DD6's swim lesson but I think it was good for me regardless. I have found out another runner in my training group has a stress fracture as well so we might be doing some SWIMMING together!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY for company!!! I talked to my running coach today and my plan is that on my running days, I am going to swim for as long as it would take me to run in an effort to keep my endurance up. So if I have 3 miles on the schedule, I will swim for 30 - 35 minutes. Straight - no stopping. Hopefully I will be stressing my body enough to get my mind set for a 2.5 hr run in Sept. Then, if I am able to start running again in 3 weeks, I may not be too far off track endurance wise. Plus, it IS at Virginia Beach so I am sure some of the course is along the water. Maybe they would let me swim part of it!! LOL!!
