<p>Usual run and stuff for me this morning. Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a nice log run in the rain on Saturday and took Sunday off as rest day.</p>

<p>Good morning!  I got a run in Saturday before the craziness.  It was lax jamboree for dd and since she plays for 2 teams, and both teams were short handed, she played for 4.5 hours straight.  6 games in all with just 3 minutes between them.  Her legs are sore now!  I took yesterday off so I could clean the house and run errands since we didn't have any sports.</p>

<p>I have a bit of  a vent.  Ds10 tried out for all stars.  This is his 3rd year trying out and he has never made the team.  That's ok. There is a lot of talent out there and if he is not all star material then he is not all star material.  Here is my issue.  They never posted the rosters like they told the kids they would.  They called and e-mailed the kids who made the team and left the other kids hanging.  So, my ds found out when the little shit next door (who is supposed to be his friend but likes to gloat whenever he does better at something) told him with his little smirk that he made the team and ds didn't.  But, at least he found out on the weekend while at home.  There are some kids who will find out in school today.  That is so shitty!  All I'm asking for is the courtesy of a phone call to let him down easily before he finds out from someone else.  This was handled very poorly!!!</p>

<p>Morning my running friends.  I might take today as a rest day but we will see.  I will be out of the office all day today not sure if that is good or not.</p>

<p>Good morning everyone.  I am so tired today!!  I slept like a rock last night, but I still could have slept this morning.  Maybe I will go back to bed after I take the kids to school.  This is the last full week, and then just 2 days next week.  I can't wait for it to be over.  It's going to be very busy this week, too.  We have a band concert, a couple of field trips and class parties, and packing for the move.  Baseball is almost over.  3 practices this week and then games on Friday and Saturday.  No one is going to be playing this summer and I think we all need some time off to decompress!!</p>

<p>I will run a little  bit this morning, just not sure how much.</p>

<p>Andi-That is really a bad deal about your son and all stars.  They really should have found a better way to let the kids know.  There are some kids out there who really have a way of making others feel bad about stuff like that, as if it's not hard enough anyway when you don't make the team. </p>

<p>Andi..that sucks!! I agree with Ron, hate the politics of youth sports!!  Absolutely dread the fact that we will be restarting it all over again soon with ds3, just when ds2  is gettting done!! And will say that it does only get worse as they get older as well!! STINKS!! Hope ds is doing ok and didnt let the little stinkhead (neighbor kid) get him down!! you tell him to keep trying and to not give up...different coaches see different things and kids improve as they get older...stick with it and they see results down the road!!</p>
<p>Fer...hope you were able to get some more sleep...good luck with the move and the last wk of school craziness!! You and Ron need a DATE NIGHT!! </p>

<p>Didnt run this entire wkend, forgot my running shoes at home!! I got up and got my 4 in this morning!!  Felt slow and sloggy but got it done!  !!Had a busy wkend being out of town and I was tired...the boys played ok but had fun!! They were playing kids a year ahead of them in some cases and it makes a diff!! One more tournament in 2wks and then I think that is it for a while.they have been playing basketball since Nov and I think they need a break!! DS will do some baseball tournaments in July...it really never ends!!! Alright need to go see whats up with the barking dog...she spent the wkend with grandpa and i think was a little S.P.O.I.L.E.D!!!  </p>

<p>Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend.</p>

<p>I've been to the gym 4 out of the last 5 days, and yesterday when I didn't go, I walked around the zoo for 4 hours in 90 something degree heat. Today was a relatively easy 35 minutes on the bike, and some weights. I really didnt' want to go today but I wanted to not have to deal with my kids for an hour more than I wanted to stay home. I love the little beasts, but I needed some time with no one talking to me or touching me.</p>

<p>Tomorrow I will probably ride longer, and do a more intense weight circuit. Maybe take the kids swimming later too, I can count that as a workout, right?</p>

<p>Staci-Good job on the 4 miles!  You are right, we need a date night, but usually our date night is snuggling in bed watching a movie after all the kids are in bed! LOL</p>

<p>Aimee-It sounds like you have been getting some good workouts in.  Good for you!  Enjoy your quiet time while Maxwell is napping! </p>

<p>I just got done running 5.  I felt pretty good today, and not much pain from my bunion.  Yay!</p>
