Good morning!
Monday already?
I had a good time yesterday with Andi and Lee at the race. The course itself is gorgeous with most of it along the waterfront. The hard part was dealing with the wind and the cold, it was pretty frosty at times.
My Garmin crapped out before the race even started so I just went out a little too hard for the first half and it took it's toll for the second half. My time was 3:11 and change. It was nice getting back to the hotel to warm up and get out of my wet shirt and then grab a little food. By the time I got home I was absolutely starving and wound up
ordering a large meatball sub and a small pizza and put that away fast!
Today is a rest day, time to get ready for work. Have a great day!

Hey Sudsy! Sounds like you had some tough conditions. Good job though!! And, nice job putting the food away!! That's my kind of eating :) Sorry if I accidentally texted you again after I was in touch with you yesterday. I swear that you are the only person I do that too and it's so bizarre. I think I texted the word "no" to you and I have no idea how that happened. Anyway, I'm glad you had a good day with Andi and Lee and a good race.

Rest day for me which means cleaning the house and running errands after I go volunteer at school. Gotta mop the kitchen and mud room before I go! Have a good day!

Good morning! Yesterday was great. The wind was really tough at times. There was one gust at my back and it felt so good for those few seconds and then the rest of the wind was at our faces or pushing us sideways into the street. I went out a little fast at the beginning, but was able to stay below my goal pace for all but the 12th mile when I was 10 seconds slower than pace. Overall I finished in 1:46 which was 3 minutes faster than goal and a pr of 7:30. I was happy! My legs feel pretty good today but my right knee (IT band) is a little tight and sore. I am hoping a little recovery will take care of that before my long run this weekend. Today is x-training so I will hop on the bike for a little bit tonight and maybe do some strength stuff.

Suds - The conditions were rough yesterday. I think you did a fantastic job.

A little funny - My dd opened the bag I took to the race and almost passed out. "Oh my God! What is in there?" were her words. LOL - I had my sweaty race socks and gloves and ear band in there. She was so grossed out!

Good morning Sisu! Enjoy your "rest" day! Yes, that was funny seeing that message. I was driving along when it came in and when I looked at it I handed it over to Andi and said " Does that just say no?" I was waiting for a follow up text.

Andi, enjoy the cross training today. Hope you weren't too tired last night at the ceremony. I got lucky, when I got home DW was already gone so I could just chill and eat.

Congrats to Suds and Andi! Great job guys. Sudsy, I have never met a guy with such an appetite. Especially one that I've got at least 50 lbs advantage on. You are the king dude!

I have been realizing that it will still be a week short of Easter when I finish the marathon, so not giant celebratory cheeseburger. Guess I'll just have to get myself a big veggie pizza!

Morning my running friends. I will work out a little later. This weekend was pretty relaxing and we celebrated my parents 50th anniversary. I was a lot of fun. Baseball was cancelled because of rain. Mostly the fields were wet from last week.
