<p>Good morning!  I went to boot camp this morning.  Today is the only day I am going so I can do a mini taper before Sunday.</p>

<p>been mia the past few weeks--have/had some personal sh&t going on....havent run but 1 X per week for the last 3 weeks...need to get my arse back on track...feeling bad about not running, but apparently not bad enough cause I havent run much in 3 weeks..sigh...</p>

<p>good news is: I am hoping to defend my dissertation proposal possibly need week...yikes...very very very nervous for that...and trying to set up my power point presentation for it......</p>

<p>Susan - thanks.  She went in for the ear infection and the doc said her throat looked "streppy" but didn't swab her b/c he was going to have to give her antibiotics anyway.  (She doesn't do well w/ strep tests to say the least).  She is doing better this morning. </p>

<p>Andi - Thanks!  I will tell them.  DD6 took her medals for "share" today at school so I know that she is proud!!  I swear though - they are bigger than any medal that I have ever gotten!  I will have to post a pic for you guys.  LOL!!  Are you racing w/ Sudsy on Sunday?  How long is the race?</p>

<p>Busy wkend, boys came home from ski trip, wedding, and ds2 had basketball tourney...they took 1st! Had to play an innercity team from the minneapolis area for the championship.  They were trash talking the entire game...calling the boys punk asses, and many other nice names! After the game, they were hanging around and it got a little ishy! Just happy that we won and showed them that white boys can jump! LOL! I really cant imagine having to deal with crap like that all the time....sad! Didnt get a long run in this wkend, ran twice and only got 4 & 3 miles in each time because of time issues.  Was going to go out tonight and get my 7 done but then looked at my training schedule this morning and my long run was a 5k race pace this wkend!   So I am  going to let it go. May run tonight, we will see! Should probably run today before the rain & snow come! ISH! Coughing kids today (not mine) Winter needs to take a hike!</p>

<p>Morning my running friends.  It has been raining buckets since Spring started here too.  What is with that.  It have been a little cool to in the 50's.  My leg in the early stages of flaring up again so I am taking a couple of days off of running and will lift tonight.</p>

<p>Ok my youngest was playing baseball yesterday.  He is 8 and this is the first year of kid pitch for him so he is really excited.  They won their first two games and yesterday there were winning 6 - 4 in the last inning.  My son comes in to close out the game.  Yikes,  He starts by walking a couple of guys then they get an out.  Then there is a ground ball and they make a play but the first baseman drops the ball two runs score.  Ok it is still tied.  He strikes out the next batter so it is not two outs with a man on first.  A ball gets hit right back to my son ans he throws it to first.  He drops the ball again and the guy on first runs all the way around to score.  My son throws up his arms and yells something and the kid playing first.  Oh well you can't win them all.  Yes he has a slight anger problem.</p>

<p>Did anyone see that the heaviest person to ever finish a marathon did so yesterday at the LA marathon.  He took almost 10 hours and weighs around 400 pounds.</p>

<p>Ron...what a heartbreaker!! Thats too bad!!  They were just a bunch of thugs...I was suprised too that the refs werent doing anything about it... esp after the game with what DS told us what was being said, they were def threatening some of our players. you dont see that kind of behavior around here and really we shouldnt tolerate that when they come here to play.</p>

<p>Thanks guys!  I had to put that Providence medal in for scale - that is the largest medal that I have and I thought that the most people would be able to use that as a scale reference!  LOL!!  They had a celebration at their TKD school today. </p>
