Suds, good job on your run and core and weights. How do you feel after your 20? apparently ready to run again.

Cho, I hope you are having a great 5.

Rest day for me. My legs feel like there was workout done, but no pain. I could run, but I don't need to and I won't/
Everyone have a great day!

Good morning. Did 7.5 and abs. DD is no better She woke me at 1am because she had thrown up on her bed and floor. So my dad is going to come stay with her. I wish I could stay home but I have 2 tests today that I can't miss...I feel like such a bad mommy when I can't stay home with her when she's sick

Suds-great job on the 4, core and weights. How are you feeling after your 20?

Cho-have a great 5.

Ty-enjoy the rest day! Sounds like you're feeling pretty good!

Heather, sorry DD is so sick. I understand how you feel because I feel the same way when I have to work and DD is not well. But that's a wrong statement. Don't feel like a bad mommy. You have your dad helping, she is staying safe at home and she will be totally fine with him. It is important that you get your commitments done when you can't change them, so you don't add stress to your life. That's important for your children too and makes you a great mommy, from what I've seen you doing so far.

Suds - Excellent 4. I am beginning to discover that I may possibly at some point in the future have abs if I keep up these exercises!

Cho - You are really buildling up the mileage! Good for you!! When is your 10K? You are going to be soooo ready!

Heather - Sorry about DD and about the car break-in. Your parents sound really great. It's good that they're able to help you out!

Ty - Enjoy your rest day from running. You certainly deserve it!

I've finished my morning round of PT exercises. They are really helping a lot already; I'll go see the PT on Tuesday & Thursday mornings this week. Still some lingering hip discomfort, but overall, everything is much more flexible than before. The 'fixed' portion of my spine has decreased from two vertical fists in height to just one, and, amazingly enough, I am 1/2" taller. I'll hit the pool at lunchtime and the Y after work today.

ALSO - We've scheduled a Florida vacation in mid-June! This will be a different sort of Orlando trip for us, because we've always done Disney in the past (5x). We're going to do just Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure this time, neither of which we've ever done before.

Have a great day, everyone, with good runs, rests, and XTs!

PS - Congrats to Alemma and Batmomm on their new PRs! You maniacs are incredibly fast!

Morning guys. I can't sleep, had a horrible nights sleep so I think I am going to do some crunches. I'm THINKING about it which is a step in the right direction, right?

Suds - I guess I will do a crunch for you, well maybe 2.

TY - You are amazing woman! I think I am going to get you a "Wonder Woman" t-shirt or something. OOoooo!! How about the tiara that she wears?!?!? You could wear it when you run! Honestly, you are AMAZING!

(((((((Heather))))))) Damn! I am SO SORRY!!! Don't feel like a bad mommy, you are NOT! You dad sounds like a wonderful man who loves your kids. It isn't like you are leaving her with him to go out partying - you are trying to make a better life for them. They understand. I hope she feels better!!!

Fit - Um, am I going to recognize you in May? I mean, w/ all this exercise you are probably skinny as a stick and now you're even GROWING?!?!? I am really happy that you are starting to feel better.

Off to crunch (maybe)

Fit, that's great news that you are seeing the results. It just gets better and better. Thanks to PT, I got through this giant training without getting an injury, which was a fear I had since the beginning. I've been dealing with tightness and a bit of lingering from my past misalignment, but those have been quickly managed. PT rocks. Yay for your new exciting vacation!

Nicole, I'm more wonderpets than wonderwoman... I also have been thinking about core... for the past 5 months I keep staring at the kit I bought, with the balance ball, video, bells and whisles. So far, it is still in the clutter category. Haven't even opened it yet. Embarrassing!

My friend is a P.T and she went to a convention yesterday and the trainers
made a good point they said when you watch a marathon how many people actually
look at the top finishers and say" oh I want to look just like them" LOL! no one
there all emaciated! He was stressing the importance of core and weights.
I wish I had a trainer to whip my ass into shape.
