Good morning!

Just having some coffee and Cheerios right now with Tank at my feet waiting for me to take him out for a run.

Sisu, great job on that 20 miles! Sounds like you'll be crossing that finish line in Boston with a big smile on your face!

Ron, sounds like a full house in store for you tonight, hope you all have fun.

Nicole, sounds like you're enjoying the nice weather! Have fun this weekend!

Staci, wow you have another busy weekend! Enjoy!

Andi, I'm sure you're busy this weekend. And don't worry about the weather next weekend, I'm taking care of it.

Today I'm just running 4 and tomorrow will be 8. I'll take it easy for the rest of the week and hopefully have a good race on Sunday.

Enjoy the weekend!

Good morning again!

4.5 with Tank yesterday and I'll be heading out for 8.5 with him in a little while. That will be his longest run so far.

Hope you all are having a good weekend!

Hey Paul! How nice to have an easy running weekend! Have fun running with Tank today. How does he do? Does he try to drag you down the road or does he run right next to you? I have taken our Border Collie for a few very short runs (1.5mi at the most) and he does pretty good except he's so happy and excited that he gets a bit crazy now and then. He's going to be a great running partner eventually! What is the pace you're shooting for at Eastern States? I'm still on the fence but I need to make a decision asap!

My dh and kids just left to go skiing so I have the whole day to myself! I am going to run soon and then hit the grocery store. Glamorous I know. I'm really happy with how quickly I recovered from my 20 miler on Friday and I'm feeling more confident. :)

Sisu, glad to hear you came back strong after Friday! Sounds like things are looking your way for Boston! And yes, time is running out for next week's race! I'm going to try to maintain an 8:30 pace, give or take, for as long as I can. I'm looking at this race as a training race and hopefully things will go smoothly.

Tank is really good about pacing. The first mile it takes a little time to get in his groove, going out too fast and then stopping for a couple of bathroom breaks. After that he is right at my side, step for step. I thought it was going to be awkward at first, but he really does a great job staying on my left at all times and never crosses me up. Yesterday we averaged 8:48 and today was 8:51. I'm looking forward to a lot of good runs with him until the hot weather sets in.

Did you see that the Harpoon race is going to a lottery? Mark off 3/29 on your calender to enter!

Harpoon lottery!?!?! OH NO! I thought registration was on 4/2? I have to check the website. Every race I want to do is getting more and more complicated. Might have to just show up for the party if we don't get in! Nice to hear that Tank is such a good running partner. Labs seem to make great running dogs. My pace has dropped off quite a bit with my lack of running but today I was hovering around 8:00mm for part of my run and feeling really good. I hope that means that in the fall I'll be able to shoot for a marathon at 8:30mm. Is that what you're planning for the Smuttynose marathon? Maybe we could pace each other. We could bring Tank and Willie along to carry our drinks and gels.

My girls kicked some ass at the TKD tourney!!! DD6 got 2 MEDALS (which are HUGE) a second and a third place and DD10 got a 4th place medal which is just as huge. It was a regional tournament too!!! I was SO SURPRISED!! I was more happy at their perserverence in overcoming nerves and a lot of other obstacles; they really did fantastic. DD10 is now home w/ an ear infection and possibly strep. :( We had to leave our mini-vaca at 7am this morning b/c she was so miserable. Got into the doc today though which was good.

Sudsy - Give Tank a milk bone w/ peanut butter on it for me and tell him GOOD RUNNING!!

Susan - Hope you enjoyed your day to yourself and congrats for recovering so well from your 20 miler! That is just amazing!!!
