Good morning! I got out for a very chilly 4 this morning.

Suds - It might even get up to 30 later. Woo Hoo! I can't wait for the warmer weather. I am tired of being cold all the time. I want to just sit outside and let the sun warm me. I hope your long run goes well this weekend.

Hey! Happy Friday :)

Busy day for me so far but the good news is that I got in the longest run I've done since last fall - 12.5 miles!! I'm so happy I could cry! I ran with two friends of mine and we had a great time. My knee started to bother me a bit around 9mi but not too bad and I was able to finish the run and now it's feeling OK - just a bit sore. That is a huge improvement over the longer run I tried to do on Monday. Maybe there is hope for me after all.

Sudsy - I hope your Friday is going well. Yes, it was chilly out there! It was 15deg when we started our run and a bit breezy but once we got going it wasn't bad.

Andi - I'm with you on the sick of being cold thing! We keep the heat pretty low in our kitchen/mudroom/dining room area and I usually have on a down vest over whatever I'm wearing. I'm always cold anyway but this time of year stinks. Good job getting out for your run this morning in that frigid cold!

Amber - hope you are able to get your run in this afternoon. We have no plans for Valentine's Day - we don't really celebrate it.

Gotta head out to run an errand before dd gets home. Have a great afternoon!

Morning my running friends. I will get a run in tonight while dinner is cooking. This weekend is baseball so that should be fun. I think we have a shot to do well this weekend. We are playing the Storm and Ranpage tomorrow. The names of some of these travel teams are funny to me. My son's team is the OC Hurricanes. When has there ever been a hurricane near us?

GL with that long run this weekend Paul!!

Finally feel like the living again!! 3wks of stomach flu on and off is awful and I hope to never ever have to go thru that again! Left me feeling, very weak and tired. ran for the first time in about a month this wk..2 runs (3 & 4 miles) on the dreadmil, slow, ugly but they are done! Plan on getting back out there tonight adn hoping for an outside run!!! I *think* we should get close to 30* ABOVE today!! :)

DS2's Freshman conference tournament is going on now...we won last night and will play 2 games on Sat. Our high school has two A teams and there is a good possibility we could play each other for the championship!! It would be a lot of fun and a testament to how hard both teams have worked this yr!! many of ds2's travel teammates and close friends are on the other team and I am so proud of both!!

Hi everyone! I just got back from an easy 3.5 miles. I've been sick the last couple of days so I was just taking it easy today. I felt better than I expected to, but my lungs are still pretty congested.

Suds-Happy Friday! Have a good long run this weekend.

Andi-Good job on your 4 miles!

Hey strangers, hope youa re all doing well. Susan, glad you had a good run finally. I went super easy today. First race since early September tomorrow. 8 miler...odd distance but I've done this race the last two years and know the course well. Mostly flat with an uphill finish and a real windy section for mile 5. Amber, we don't really celebrate valentine's either. We dislike made up holidays. No one should feel obligated to be romantic because hallmark says you should. We go out when we feel like it :)
