Good morning!

Happy Friday everybody! Just doing a workout out this morning and giving the legs a rest.

No work for me tomorrow. I'll be in Plymouth on the waterfront, having a few beers and playing a song or two

Johnny, welcome back! Looks like you had a great time in NY, lots of great pictures. I hope you have a great week next week. I know it's going to be a great weekend weather-wise, I hope the rest of the week is too.

Willa! Sorry to hear about the eyes, I didn't think it would be this soon either. Hope you have a good weekend. Wish you the best at the 100! Oh, wait a minute, try this-Sorry to hear about the eyes, I didn't think it would be this soon either. Hope you have a good weekend.
Suds - Sounds like a good time. Have a few beers for me too. I have laid off the beer for a little bit. The back is good this morning, it wasn't a REAL problem yet, but I figured better to take a rest than push it and be sorry later.

Batmomm - Do you have the secret for making moobs smaller? That would probably sell really well.

Rest day for me. Tomorrow will hold a run and a swim after work. I went back and looked and Wednesday's run was longer than I had actually planned for. I am trying to take my comeback a little slower to make sure the old fat guy doesn't hurt himself.

Hey guys! Happy "Tax Free Weekend" in NC! Gotta do some minor school supply shopping once the little one wakes up. Poor kid has had some sleep issues lately so I hate to wake her.

Sudsy - The fam and I MAY be coming through Boston in June! I know that is a long way off but my nephew in VT is graduating so we are making plans now. Thinking we may fly into Boston and rent a car for the rest of the trip.

DB - How is the swimming going? Max looks like an ANGEL!!! Are he and Elise getting along?

Meeting w/ my running coach didn't go nearly as well as I had planned. She isn't going to give me anything until after I get doctor's clearance. We have some ideas but it means I am on my ass until after my docs appt on Tuesday. I went out and got an exercise ball. I figured I should be able to do pushups, etc. w/o putting my feet on the ground that way. I am really really getting frustrated and to top it off, it really doesn't feel like it is getting better. :(

Hi all!

Sudsy - sounds like a fun weekend for you! Have a good time. My race is Sunday and thanks!

DB - you're being smart taking it easy on your comeback. Enjoy your rest day. I was wondering how Elise is doing with the new baby, too?

Nicole - What a bummer about your foot! I know how frustrating it is to not be able to run and I hope you're back on track soon. You have another appt on Tuesday?

I did an easy 40min run this morning. The humidity is still rough and I did part of it on the TM because it was just hard to breathe out there. Last week I met with a nutritionist and I've been making some changes in hopes that I will feel better and I'm happy to say that I think it's working. I've pretty much cut out dairy (except for in my coffee!) and bread and regular pasta. I'm working hard to eat whole grains and no raw veggies. It takes some work but I think it will be worth it.

Have a good day!

Susan, yeah, I've still got my Boston chip on my old shoes, but they are semi-retired as I busted out a new pair in NYC. Why do you ask?

By the way, I have always wanted to do that Auburn race. Looks like so much fun.

Well I got no run in yesterday. Was going to run after work last night but DW had promised the kids she'd take them to the movies at the Highland Park bowl and she was pretty exhausted so I took them to see Back to the Future. It was a perfect breezy night for an outdoor movie. Except for the 5 guys next to us that were like a pack of freaking 13 year old girls chatting through the entire movie.

So I only got 29 miles last week and 10 so far this week. Bit of a derailment. Everybody but batass seem to be in a funk, maybe it's the planetary alignment... I wasn't actually on a plan yet, but was being pretty consistent with near 40-ish mile weeks to keep the base. Good thing my marathon is not til December. I hope to get a productive week, 40 or so at the Cape. Along with some family and solo biking.

Sudsy, I should stop in Plymouth on the way to the cape...might not sit well with the ladies though. Any of you guys know the best time of day to hit the Bourne bridge to the cape? We're toying with whether to head out before the crack of dawn or just wait and get there a bit later in the day. But then that kinda wastes some of the day.

Hey Gaela, I'll keep an eye out for the big guy in cali.

OK, gotta get some work done, then a meeting with the bossman, then out of here early and get ready for departure.

Nicole - It depends on how you look at it. The distances are pretty short right now, but my form is terrible and I suck at breathing. So I can make the distance, but it isn't pretty and I waste a lot of energy. I really need a good swimming coach that won't charge me an arm and a leg and doesn't have group sessions right when I have to be at work. All the cheap ones start at 6 AM, which is exactly when my shift starts.

Sisu & Lee - Elise is doing wonderfully with him. LB usually stays up with him at night since I have to be at work early and Elise is pretty good about staying semi-self reliant in the mornings so she can rest. Elise will wake her up to get breakfast then come hang out while LB dozes or tell them stories "so they can rest." All in all, she is a wonderful big sister. Everyone is doing well and adjusting so far. We are enrolling Elise in soccer this fall, so between that and once LB is cleared to start working out again we will have some juggling to do, but nothing compared to what some of you guys do!

I was asking because I just ordered a new pair of shoes and my chip is still on my current pair. When I get my new ones I was thinking it would be tacky to move it to my new shoes and it sounds like you've done the same thing by leaving it on your old pair. Just wondering what others have done. I like seeing it on my shoe and I'll be bummed when I don't have it on my current pair anymore - dopey I know!

Yeah, the race should be fun this weekend! My dh is still recovering from his bike wreck but he says he's ready to ride. my fil and sil are the paddlers. Looks like we'll have less humidity so I'm happy about that!

hey y'all, happy friday.

Sounds like some of you are getting the wicked heat and humidity we have down here. We had 5 days in a row of 100+ temps and I don't even want to talk about the heat index. This means we have been pretty much stuck indoors and I'm getting a little stir crazy. I can't wait for some cooler temps but it will probably be October before we get them.

For everyone that asked, Elise has been adjusting really well to Max being here. She is a great big sister and a big help most of the time. I'm pretty tired and the house is a mess, as I spend most of my time nursing the baby or tending to Elise. Hopefully Max will let me wear him in the sling a little this afternoon so I can tidy up some.

I'm down almost 35 lbs, but I have a long ways to go to get back to where I want to be, thanks to gaining weight before I got pregnant. Going to do the Weight Watchers program for nursing moms starting in about a month, and hopefully I will be cleared for exercise by then.

Gaela, in regards to your question yesterday, yes he still has new baby smell. :)

so more rump work today. Still need to find the urge to get in 12 w/6 of that as speed work. Cal's under the weather so that means I have to do it at home where it's oh so easy to cheat. Maybe I'll swap w/ tomorrow's 6. Got 20 on tap for Sunday, Yippeeeee.

Susan-if I can earn a boston chip for my shoe, I might just make a necklace out of it

so both me and our ped lost Ty's shot records, wtf? it's as if we haven't taken him in since he turned 1yr...

take it easy Bunners, you know you had a baby a half an hour ago right? pick 1 healthy habit to work on each week and that's it.

Susan, I might move the chip. I don't think it's tacky. Hell we earned it. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

We decided to depart for the Cape at midnight. About an 8 hour drive. Hopefully we will beat the traffic without me falling asleep at the wheel.

Gonna try to get a little nap in before we go. No run again today...grrrr. Maybe something tomorrow and then at least 12 Sunday, maybe 15. Got a lot to make up for.
