okay, so this was really from last night, but i'm just getting around to posting it now, and it's sort of a big deal for me...

30 minutes on the treadmill.

24 walking and...
6 running

i ran half a mile. easy pace. i felt/feel good.
first run since dec of 2005

i don't think it will be a multiple-times-weekly thing, but i'm going to work in a short, easy run once every week or so to gauge where i'm at and see if i might eventually be able to lengthen the distance without causing much of an issue with my back

Good morning. Anybody else up yet?

I had an easy run at the track yesterday. (Fort hose who like seeing them, here's the google map of the run, and here's the elevation chart). I still haven't decided if I do a run today. I may get in a couple more slow easy miles. We'll see. Tomorrow I head off to Alabama...

Good runs to all...

HH that is awesome news! Woohoo!

5.5 on my popping TM last night. Jeesh I hope that new belt gets here soon! Also did WT a little.

Got another 5.5 on tap tonight.

Is it bad that I'm looking forward to Friday as my rest day? (though I have WT again, so it's not a full rest day, but anyway...)

Morning!

Congrats HH!! That's great!

Tutoring was cancelled after school yesterday (after I'd already bought a frappicino and drove over there... she forgot to email me ) so I came home intending to get dressed to go for a run on such a perfectly beautiful afternoon.. when my neighbor knocked at the door and asked me to come meet his nephew and aunt from Germany (neighbor's from Germany) so somehow I ended up staying over there till after 9 (just kinda in that situation/convo where it would be rude to leave and they insisted I stay for dinner.) I'm so screwed bc I have so much to do (I was gonna pack last night for AL!) and tonight I have more tutoring right after school then hockey. Won't be home till 11 and not sure how I'm going to fit in one last run between now and tmrw! Stupid 24 hours. Why can't we have 30 hours in a day sometimes????? If only I didn't need to eat/sleep/shower.

Anywho, all you intervallers/striders etc are really getting me fired up to try them myself. Probably next week after I recover from the weekend!

Have a great day.

Hey all:

Theia: How long of a rest do you do between those? Nice run.

HH: Great news

Solar: We are on the same schedule today! Good luck.

I metup with the running store group last night - 7 easy at 8:30 pace. It was oddly warm - maybe still 60 when we went out? Very strange for this time of year. It's cooler today, but still pretty warm (40s). I don't know how much longer I'll run with the store group this year - I'm doing workouts on Tues and Thurs, and no one else there is running Wed as an easy night, so I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense to hoof it there to run alone. Plus it's hard to just let them run away.

Tonight, stopping at the track on the way home for 8-10x300. Speed is fun.

Note to self: When your DW is cooking a nice dinner because it is her (late) mother's birthday and you pick up a bottle of wine on the way home called "SMOKING LOON" because, you know, that reminds you of your mother in law, your DW might, MIGHT(!) not see the humor in it that you did. Good wine though.

Heater great job!

I have a 5 mile temp run on tap tonight, no nothing after that. When I looked at the schedule this morning and flipped out, I than realized I had done the same thing on Saturday, just at a little slower pace.

Morning all. Spent 4 miles worth on the TM last night followed by a load of push-ups, crunches and other plank like stuff followed by 30 min. on the elliptical. I really had that puppy cranked up on the resistance and pumped my arms like I was running. Hoping to start building up some more mileage once I get the dang cortisone shot. It looks decent outside today; will plan to get something done outdoors.

Great job HH!!! And nice mile repeats, Alexis

Theia - your repeats may have sucked ass. So did mine. I am sure that you looked better doing yours than I did. My plan was for 2 mile warmup, 4x(10 [email protected], 2 min rest), 2 mile cooldown. Did not happen. Got through the first 2 intervals OK, the third on I needed to take a break in the middle of, and the fourth one was cut short, at a slower pace, and with another break in the middle. And the 2 mile cooldown turned into a .75 mile cooldown because I was spent.
