<p>Awful run for me, perhaps a PW but I'm not sure.  Official results aren't posted so I don't know if I earned points.  The trail was great as far as terrain goes.  Lots of uphills kicked my butt.  Mild asthma at the beginning didn't help.  All in all I learned a bunch and got my head together going into my next race in the series.  Kick in the butt is official.</p>

<p>Results were just posted...my 33:30 was good enough for 6th out of 11 in my AG...lots of points earned, but it's kind of an empty victory.</p>

<p>Seriously, 5k's are SUPPOSED to suck. If they don't, you're doing them compeltely wrong. Now, you wanna get faster? Well that's up to you chicka.</p>

<p>6/11 tells me you did pretty good. a 33 being middle of pack? Yeah, course = harsh - reality check!</p>

<p>That was one funny RR.  I mean, it sucks that you had some, um, "malfunctions" during the race but I had a good chuckle at your expense.  So, 33 isn't horrible but you obviously aren't happy with the result which I totally get.  Take all that anger and use it as motivation for that 10k race in December.  Your mantra, "Vengeance will be mine!!!"  Maybe you should just double check though and make sure that race isn't 2 cycles away. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/dontknow.gif" style="width:37px;height:15px;" title=""></p>

Thanks for the humor at 3am Alicia! Enjoyed your RR and fell asleep before congratulating you on a tough race. Chalk it up to a learning experience. Luckily there are tins more opportunities to redeem yourself!

<p>Thanks all!  I feel better about my finish time after I did a little comparison.  2 other girls in my AG ran last week's 10k and their pacing for both races was similar...in theory a 5k would be faster than a 10k in terms of pacing OR if the pace was the same that means that the course was harder.</p>

<p>So, woohoo for me.  The course chewed me up and spit me out, but it leveled the playing field a bit.</p>
