<p>It is a nice event. I'd prescribe it to anyone.</p>
<p>Weather as good as Saturday's is rare even in summer. 8 of 10 days the summit is typically socked in.</p>
<p>FO, I'm game to do it again. The RD will let you switch to the marathon on the fly if the day is going poorly so it's a low risk.</p>

<p>I love the way you write Jjj and this one was the best yet. You make me want to go to Mt Mitchell. hmmmm.......bet there's some caches there for me Glad you weren't DFL even though that REALLY doesn't matter.</p>

<p>OK, there is an earthcache there in fact it's at the summit. I supposed there is a state park restriction on placing physical caches.</p>

<p>A bit of an oddity in the aftermath of those screws.</p>
<p>It appears they tattooed a few black marks into my feet.</p>
<p>I can't tell if its blood, a chemical reaction, of just plain black dirt. It is some kind of sub-cutaneous stain.</p>
<p>Won't wash off and still looks like it could hang around a while.</p>
