Safe travels to Eugene, Mindi! And to Cincy, TimR!

It's gonna be 65 and sunny, so i'm saving my run for this afternoon and keeping my fingers crossed that no work issues pop up to prevent me from running!

The Cincinnati weather forecast sux monkey ballz. Gorgeous tomorrow, rain and thunder Sunday. Really?

My group is meeting TimR and his brother for dinner tomorrow night, so there's a mini meetup ;) I also told Pacer I'd stop by the expo to compare guns. Hopefully I can get a picture of that, because little miss evil has been working me hard enough that you can almost see muscle under the other stuff! It also sounds like I'll be lining up near Mrs. Pacer. She's running the full and Pacer said she's going for 5:30, but starting with the 2:45 pace group until the split. Can you tell I have too much time on my hands - I'm babbling even with typing! Can't I just run the race NOW?

I took yesterday off from running, but spent some time trimming a tree that's growing a little too close to the power lines that feed the house.

I'll try to run today. Fort hose who missed it, my Race Report for my 50k is here. I didn't think I had much to say, but I sure did ramble on for quite a while...

No run this morning. I chose to sleep in because of my sore throat and gunky head.

But I'm running the Belmac Station to Station 5 Miler tomorrow morning. It starts at one fire station, goes to another, then you turn around and head back to the first station. There's a really tough hill in the middle so it's a bit of a challenge.

Morning all! Perfie weather this morning for a bridges run and then continuing to get back home, logged 11 miles all together. Part of our bridges route travels under the Manhattan Bridge on the Brooklyn side where we quite literally ran into a watch party for the Royal Wedding, fancy hats and all! One of the girls I ran with had her Blackberry and snapped this pic...

I'm just chillin out today. I am sure I will feel really excited tomorrow morning. This is the first race that I have participated in since November of 2008. I've really been down on myself since then every time I heard of a race near me. I knew I was unable to participate due to letting myself go and being out of shape. I'm looking forward to the overall experience and all the people.

Now to go read Bob's race report. (I knew I forgot to do something yesterday)

Hi all - good luck to all you racers this weekend!!! Speedy vibes to everyone!

I may jump into a race not to race it but to get some work along the trails. My cardio is kinda' shot at the moment so there won't be any really speedy running, but I do want to see if all the hill work I've been putting in is paying off somehow at least once before surgery four weeks from now or so.

Who's doing Broad Street? Someone needs to smack PTom for not checking in here.

Maria and I are both doing Broad Street. Tom and Mrs.PTom both are, as well, as far as I know. Hopefully we'll catch up with them at some point in the day!

Lots of luck to ALL our racers! Amy, Timr, Pacer, Mrs.Pacer, Clare, Runnin, Maria, Tom, Mrs.PTom, Maples. Who else? Who'd I miss?

I went to the expo to get Maria's and my packets and then got home and headed out for a nice, easy run. Which it was, until I tripped on the cobblestones (this was long overdue) and took a header. At least I had the presence of mind to think the fall thru as I was stumbling to gain my balance (which I didn't). I landed HARD on my right knee and my right hand, and clipped my left wrist -- MY GARMIN, really -- but I don't think I hurt anything too seriously. At least I hope my knee is ok... We'll see how it fares tomorrow into race day!

Woo hoo! Awesome race juju going out to everyone this weekend!

We made it to Eugene and it is GORGEOUS here. It was a LONG day though - especially for the boys. 2 x 2.5 hour plane trips + 1 2.5 hour layover makes for some crazy boys and not-so-patient parents.

I made it to the expo and got my bib number! 449! No sign of the Pre book though, Timr.

Fun: Got to meet up briefly with Duck and will get to do more so tomorrow.

Happy Friday!

Tycho and I are going to try to get out early and go see Mindy and family run in the morning and get some pix.

I ran a few easy miles today. The ankle was pretty darn stiff after the long layoff. Beer tonight seems to be helping. :)
