New week!! Hopefully, I will remember to weigh in on Tuesday. I hope I actually lost for pete's sake.

Hey JB- I missed the Tortilla Soup recipe. Can you send me a link? I would love to have it. All it does is rain here in California and soup sounds good.

Okay, everyone we have almost been doing this for a month. Thanks for the inspiration.

Happy Running!

Yeah, its cool. I'm on target and ahead of schedule. I was shooting for 195 by June 1. Assuming I stay on track, I should make that my April.
I weighed myself and I'm the same....but I don't think it's right since this morning I looked 5 months pregnant from being so bloated...so I'm going to try and weigh in again tomorrow. I'm having stomach "issues" today so it might read lower from that too. Who knows..

Andi- Good job!!

Johnny congrats!!!! That must feel great. Keep in mind you might have more muscle on yourself too, so you're body fat is even lower.

Lee- I agree with Nicole- sometimes you have to eat more to lose. I had the same problem when I was on weight watchers.

Way to go Chosha!!!

Kristin- congrats!

Gaela- you're not supposed to lose weight after eating three cakes
Hey guys,

I was down 1.5 today. Whew!! It was nice to see the scale move in the down position!!!

Andi you are doing so well!! Great job.

Way To Go JB- Is 200 your goal or do you want to go below that?

Nicole - Brownies are a killer!! I wanted to make choco chip cookies yesterday but knew that I would not only eat all the ones I made but the dough too!! Gotta keep temptation at bay. It's a new week you will get back on track!

Cho: Great job lady!!! You are doing awesome despite DH's food tempations!! LOL. Way to stay on track.

Lee: I would agree with Andi maybe the Dunkin's are hindering your loss. Try going to all black for coffee and then your "treats" once a week. IDK, it's hard.

Batmomm: 1/2 pound is easy to get rid of! I bet after your run tonight it will be gone. No worries.

Runrmommy: A loss is a loss. Great job!

Jen: I would weigh again tomorrow or even Thursday to see if there is a difference. Are you drinking enough water?? That might help move things along.

Alemma: How come you are in Delaware? It's hard when you are not in your groove and schedule hopefully you will get back on track real soon.

Okay, I have to confess, I can't get onboard with Dailyplate. What am I doing wrong? For me, navigating the site was pretty labor intensive. Am I doing something wrong? Did anyone sign up for the gold membership?

Dinner tonight is chicken n dumplings yummy can't wait it's one of my faves!!

I am shooting for 195. If I get there early, I may shoot for more, but that is my short term goal.

bodyfat is 18 - 19% depending on the day. After the holidays it was 20 - 21 so I'm seeing some improvement there too. I think the PT is helping in that department.
I found it really easy actually. you just put in a search, find your item, select it, click to add it to your plate for the day and then enter then edit the quantity and/or meal time if you want. No gold membership here. It gives me what I want for now. I made my info public if you want to check it out. jbrinda1
I am gonna check yours out, JB. Thanks for the info. I will go over and try it out again.

I am hungry today!!! I can't stop eating. My office is upstairs so now that I am home more I spend alot more time up here. But I feel guilty for not being downstairs more but that is where the f'n kitchen is!! If I am in the kitchen I eat. So back upstairs it is. I did change a lightbulb in the garage door opener today so I feel like I did something productive downstairs! And oh yeah went over new health insurance coverages for the new year which is probably why I wanted to eat. Premiums are going up again!!! Health Net thinks they are gods....................Okay off my rant. I am gonna go and check out daily plate to see just how many calories I just consumed........................
JB - quick question. What proportion of fat/carb/protein should you have (that little pie chart on the right of the screen)?
Does anyone that uses Dailyplate feel like their calories are high? It says I can have 2390 calories a day!!!! That seems like a lot!
R4W - My allowed calories are lower than that. I don't know, as long as I don't feel like my blood sugar is too low and I'm losing weight, I think I'm doing okay. Now I have to hit the site and enter my stuff for today.
I weighed in at 197 today. Thanks Johnny for the hint about dailyplate. I especially like the pie chart, my goal every day is to see the fat part get smaller and smaller as I go. I think that it help to visually see where your calories come from.

In a nutshell, this puts me down 8 lbs. so far. Its coming off faster than I thought it would, so maybe I'll see if I can get that BMI down and not lose strength.
I thought someone once said 40/40 /20. Honestly I don't know. I generally seem to be high on the carbs. And my fat is not always under 20%.

My planner on there says to lose 1.5 a week I should take in 2700. I know if I did that I would just maintain or maybe even gain. I've been averaging a net of somewhere in the low 2000s. This week I have been under 2000 most days but on weekends my gross is sometimes as high as 3500 to 4000. Yeah, I pack it in on Friday and Saturday but my long runs bring the net down to respectable numbers.
I have also heard 40/30/30, but I'm pretty sure for runners the carbs should be higher...probably more in the range of 50/30/20. I used FitDay before, but with all of you talking about it I checked out daily plate and I like it WAY better...super user friendly! They had everything I ate right off the bat...I didn't have to search and search. Good stuff!
Great Harvest Turkey panini with pesto and provolone. Can't possibly be good. Need to run that off tonight....
Yum!! That sounds delicious!! Once in a while won't hurt ya...you're so disciplined the majority of the time.
This week has sucked. I didn't get to do my work food shopping so I now have almost nothing left here. I am down to one clif bar. All my fruit and veg and salad stuff is vanquished. I need to replenish to stay on the straight and narrow. I do have some V* Fusion left. That stuff is not bad really.
I didn't shop this week either...I've been eating leftover lentils and ff cottage cheese for lunch. It's not pretty to look at, but it fills me up and is fairly healthy. I keep meaning to try that V8 Fusion....are there different flavors?
JB- that sounds so good right now . It's also better for you than the burger and fries the majority of people buy for lunch.

I had grapes, string cheese, and two pieces of bread for lunch. It's not the salad I had planned, but a good friend called so I never got around to making my yummy salad. I've been bad with getting my water in. I'm thinking of buying some lemon so I'll drink more.
I love that V8 Fusion!!! I didn't think I would, but I took a swig when DS4 had some and then I drank the whole thing!!! I like the berry banana.

I read Andi's explanation of the calories and I think I may have entered my excercise wrong on DailyPlate. I am going to go and adjust. I played around a bit more and got a bit more familiar with it. I had a hard time entering last night's dinner (i made it and couldn't figure out how to enter the recipe) I am determined to figure it out.

Today sucked, stressful and the easiest thing to eat was chocolate cake then DS15 made choco chip cookies!! See Nicole they are evil!! I ate 2 but that is not counting the stupid dough!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree!!! Mine are pretty high, too, and that's dangerous!
