Happy Monday!!!

How did everyone do last week?? The scale will reveal for me tomorrow and I am dreading it!! I am back on track today. My only huge obstacle is that I leave for Seattle on Thursday. YIKES!!!!! That will probably be a diet killer right there!

Take care and have a great week!

dp is definitely a good monitor for me. I know if I go over 2000, the scale numbers will be up the next day.
I didn't, but I had calories to spare
I gave up chocolate for lent- I'm hoping this will get me through Valentine's Day without any set backs. I probably should have given up desserts and/or sweets, but I don't think I can swing that one.
A store near us is going out of business so I went shopping for some jeans and things-- now I'm more motivated to lose my extra pounds quicker.
Denial is not just a river in Egypt.....

Meaning now I think I know why the scale is frozen on a number. Fat intake. Half and half (lots of it), real butter, and EVOO (yes, I do happen to like RR).

But here's the thing on butter--isn't it better to consume real butter than the "diet" alternatives? Maybe just less of it?
I only use real butter. I do not use any of the other stuff. That said, I don't use it much. I cook w/it, use it on bread, but not often.
well between the chocolate AND the nuts, yeah it was bound to mess with the fat intake Cho but that just means you up your veggie and lean protein intake if you have calories left to balance the % out.

I don't know about the butter thing. I use the Brummel & Brown which isn't too bad fat wise. I do know that's true about things like creamer, like half and half is better for than the ff/light creamers b/c of the corn syrup and stuff they add to make fat free stuff taste better. And EVOO is def the best oil choice but yeah probably just portion control.

Damn Johnny, DP tells me to eat 2000, I guess I'd better rein it in a bit huh? all 5'1" of me...
did I have to have popcorn, pistachios AND some m&ms....ok only a few m&Ms but still....
I did a bunch of research on margarine, butter etc. and butter, used sparingly is supposed to be the best for you. Margarine is the worst- but if you can't digest butter smart balance is the best. Some blame the surge in obesity and heart disease on margarine...go figure since that's what they told everyone to use.
Despite my indulgences yesterday, the scale was good to me.
Ok, so I was STARVING when I came in this morning...hadn't had my coffee and my co-worker left one of those new Reese's Whip candy bars on my desk for me. Supposedly 40% lower in fat, but still had 230 calories and 9 grams of fat. I ate it. That was my breakfast today. I'm no longer "starving".
I only use butter.. I hate margarine.. As long as I don't abuse it and have it as part of healthy, balanced diet, it will not do any harm. And butter is yummy... margarine on the other hand.. YUCK...
I'm up a few pounds...I'm so mad. It's motivated me to start tracking everything again on daily plate. I'm allowed only 1200 calories (not including exercise)- looks like I'll be a bit hungry on my rest days. I promised the kids a pizza and movie party tonight, so I'll have one piece and a big salad.
How do you track water consumption on Daily Plate? It's something I struggle with this time of year so I want to account for it and see how it impact my runs and energy level.
If you look on the right hand side of the page that you enter you food on, you'll see a water glass. Jut put your mouse on the bar, and raise it for how much water you've taken in for the day.
God, what a week. Work had me totally stressed out, so by the time I got home at night, I was too exhausted to go and run. Weight as gone up a little, as a result. So I'm not surprised at all that I'm back up to 200. I had a good talk with my boss's boss yesterday, and got a huge relief to find out that alot of the pressure that I've been feeling has been self-inflicted.

So, I'm looking forward to getting back on track with hopefully a 8-9 miler in the morning.
I should be in the negative net cals today after today's 3500 cals bruned running
There are some advantages of running through Greece-LOL!

James- thanks...I'm feeling a little dumb right now for not figuring it out on my own.
