Good morning Sisu! Enjoy your run later! I guess summer officially starts today for you!

Had a run and workout this morning and I'm glad it's Friday. Unfortunately I'm working tomorrow and I have to get 12 miles in before work and then race home after I get out to get things ready for a cookout tomorrow afternoon. I have about 1 hour between the time I get home and when people start arriving. Looks like no nap for me. Maybe I can put on dark sunglasses and prop myself up in a chair and grab a quick snooze without anybody noticing.

Have a great Friday!

Good morning! I never did run yesterday and haven't yet today. I am feeling a bit out of whack and need a kick in the butt. ds lost last night but they had a good showing. Baseball is almost over and for the first time in years we will have the summer free. I can't even imagine how great it is going to be. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Our fridge died some time yesterday so I need to see if the repair guy can come out this afternoon. Thankfully we have an extra fridge in the basement!

Suds - I hope today goes by quickly. I see lots of prep work in your evening forecast!

Sisu - Enjoy the run. I can't wait for school to be over. My kids go 3.5 days next week.

I am supposed to be working part time, 3 days a week. This is the 2nd week in a row that I have had to work full time. This is not what I signed up for. :(

Yawn. Happy Friday. Not going to the gym this morning, as a certain baby who shall remain nameless was up a million times last night, and then got up for the day at 6. I might go later this afternoon after nap time, depends on what the weather is like and how crabby the kids are.

ds3 & I are off to a kids fest today for a few hours, and if the weather cooperates having a few friends over for a bonfire this evening. I have talked about a dear family friend on here occassionally the last couple yrs that is fighting an aggressive form of cancer. The latest news is not good and she is home right now for a vacation,& we are going to visit her today as well. I am so happy we have this chance to see her and spend some time with her but it is difficult as well. It is going to be hard. I feel selfish for feeling this way, she has been thru hell the last couple yrs, and I cant wait to give her a big hug in person. so many mixed emotions right now for all her family and friends. say a prayer for her if you could.

Paul - hope your run goes well tomorrow and that you are able to stay awake for the cookout!

Andi - hope you get your fridge fixed asap! Is the full time work just a temporary situation? Hopefully you'll get back to your normal schedule soon.

SB - I'm so sorry about your friend. I imagine it is really hard to figure out what your feelings are but you shouldn't feel bad about feeling selfish. Big hugs to you and prayers for your friend. Hope you got your run in!

LB - boo to a sleepless night. It's so hard to function normally when you don't get sleep! I hope you got a workout in but if not a rest day is good, too! My kids have a half day on Monday and then we are done so school is not quite over yet. We start at the end of August so we're a bit behind you all.

I ended up running about 9.5mi today in total. I ran to and from a school event and then took each dog for a run alone. our border collie isn't quite a year old so he can't run a lot yet but I took our lab for a nice trail run and it was a lot of fun. Some nice mud and lots of hills and rocks - I love a trail run!
