The girl scout cookies are evil....simply horrible. We bought 5+ boxes. One I gave to DH to bring to work, the other two I behaved and only had a few here and there. I'm so scared for the rest of the boxes. I can EAT cookies and once I start it's hard to stop. I guess I have a bit of an addiction.

ya know I specifically got myself the coconut ones and it says serving size= 2 but I had 2, then a few minutes later I had 3 more and felt really pretty crappy. I guess that's a good sign.

I'm down .6 this week. I think it may have been the two helpings of spaghetti last night... and the 1/2 can of potato chips... and maybe a few of the powdered donuts... Needless to say, DH and I decided to 'get rid' of all the temptating last night. We polished off all that stuff so it's no longer in the house. Next week should be much better.

OUCH!! MAJOR reality check for Nicole this week!!! Up 3.5!!!!! But seeing that I lost 5.5 in a span of 5 days when I was sick, some of that has to be my body recovering. (but a lot of it is from me eating like CRAP!!!) Back to the straight and narrow!!! Thanks for holding me to it everyone!!!

OK - I have been really bad! I got on the scale this morning and have gained back all that I have lost. I think part of it is that my body is really comfortable at this weight, but my mind likes to be 10 pounds lighter. I am going to just try to eat a little better and see what happens over the last 8 weeks of M training.

I think the same thing is happening here Andi. If I want to bust out of "this" weight, I'm gonna have to drastically change the eating. This is where my body is happy but Batmomm is happy -10lbs...

Ditto Andi & Gaela! I have been good so far today!! Oatmeal w/ raisins and flax seed and just had a banana for a snack. I am making my grocery list for this week too. Best part is DH has planted the lettuce in the garden which means FRESH LETTUCE EVERY DAY in a couple of weeks!

I didn't weigh myself yet today because I didn't get a chance... I'll do it in a bit... I have been a bad girl and had a HUGE piece of apple pie last night, topped with even BIGGER amount of vanilla ice cream.... I'm guessing the whole thing was more than a pound heavy and it's probably all in my ass fat right now...

I haven't been paying attention to weight the past couple of weeks. This morning I weighed in the same as I have been. I really need to stop thinking that running a lot makes it okay to eat 5 whoopie pies in one day. DH is still eating extremely healthfully, so I am trying to follow his lead.

Marianne - I got tired of logging everything into dailyplate. I am simply too busy for that most of the time. My new strategy is to try to ask myself before I eat how it will fuel my running. I am hoping focusing on the benefits good food will have on the m will help me to eat better and not feel deprived. Plus, I always feel like crap if I eat too much junk.

Funny you should say that about Daily Plate Andi b/c I just logged in my food thus far and I only have 175 cals for the REST OF THE DAY!!! WHAM! Another reality check!!! I am eating WAY too much carbs and fat!!!! I am with you about asking how it will fuel your body. Back to the grindstone!!!

good approach Andi! There's an article in the latest Runner's World about how to turn what you think is a healthy running meal into one that works better for you. The first example was a bowl of oatmeal-good right? sure but add yogurt and berries to it and it will get you so much further in your run. It's the little things.

I also read (I think) that for every lb lost you can gain 3 sec per mile on your pace. So if I lose my 5-10lbs I can shave off 15-30 sec per mile!! That's huge.

Hi guys,

Batmomm: Thanks for starting the thread for me. My in laws were in town and my schedule has been blow to bits. I am down 2.5. I take it. Actually excercising does amazing things!!

I am intrigued by that info about for each pound you lose how much faster you go. That is pretty cool. I am gonna test it out. I want to shave 12 minutes on my 5k time this August!! I really hope I can do it. That would be so awesome!!

I'm not going anywhere near the scale for 1-2 days. I'm so bloated right now due to AF and having too much salt the past few days. I know it will be WAY, WAY, WAY up...but since I feel so fat and uncomfortable I'm back to drinking v8 juice (not the fusion) instead of OJ in the morning and more salads and water in hopes this fluffly look will go away. So maybe this is a good thing in the long run.

Marianne- I have the same problem- I can justify eating more when I run over 4 miles. Of course 400-900 calories is not the amount I justify.
