This is an interesting article regarding weight gain/loss in active people who just stop being active.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0204094505.htm

Thanks for starting the thread Cho!!! I will weigh in tomorrow and see what happens.........................not sure either way how it will go. I think I am also going to start measuring, so when the scale doesn't move maybe the inches will help!!

I'm here and I am up a 1/2 pound. Bummer. It's always the weeks when you really feel good and think you have had a loss and you get the big Denial. Oh well new day, new week.

Jen way to go on 2 pounds! That is awesome. Keep it up!

Nice job Jen! I don't think it's water weight b/c I don't think I was properly hydrated for the M. I sweated a lot b/c it got warm but with the wind it was still cool and very deceptive so I think I misjudged. Plus I didn't stop at any water stops but once to fill one bottle-I drank less than 20 oz water total Left me with a blazing headache.

Bad, bad day yesterday. 2 packs of MnM's. What the heck was I thinking? I know what I was thinking, I didn't properly eat all day so the MnM's was just the topper. I am never going to lose weight! UGh.

Thought or question for the day: Here is something I have been pondering: When you start a new weight loss plan, or even looking for meal ideas do the people handing out suggestions really think they are thinking about the average mom who has to cook for kids and a DH? Have you ever noticed that all the meal plans are just not condusive to the average family? For example Easy lemon lentil soup with spinach or spicy pan seared scallops with ginger and soy or thai style chicken and coconut curry. Now granted, they sound interesting and I know they are trying to give you variety so you don't get bored but realistically who is going to cook like that for their families? I am finding that alot of these suggestion are just not realistic for the average mom who cooks especially if that mom works. I would like meal plans that I will cook, that are healthy and tasty and the my kids will not run screaming from the kitchen with. What do you think?

I'm up a pound since last week, but AF is here so I'm hoping that's the reason... Or maybe the reason is my out of control eating and snacking... we'll see..

Rogue - I agree. I always see meal plans with salmon and all these exotic veggies. My dh and ds's are meat and potatoes men. My dd will eat just about anything, but I am not going to cook 2 meals. I just try to keep everything healthy. We eat a LOT of chicken.
