I've already asked Tim to edit his post...<br><br>
It's difficult at times to keep emotion out of these things.. and it's HARDER when you're a moderator. I'd ask ALL moderators to re-read their posts several times before pressing 'enter'...<br><br>
And I'd ask you each to be adult enough to separate your own personal opinions and work with each other to keep the feel and tone of the board consistent.. I want you to feverishly defend and debate your own beliefs. I just need you to set the example on how to do so without targeting your opponent!<br><br><br>

I really do not know how to reply to your post, but that thread was full of hatred and bigotry and anti-Muslim sentiment, and there are a number of Muslim posters on this board. I can't sit back and watch people discriminate against a whole religion like that. Not saying anything is not an option when there is such blatant disrespect posted.

I expect you to be upset and respond to bigotry.. I agree whole heartedly with you....<br><br>
what I would you rather do - if necessary.. is to put on your moderator hat and pm the person and ask them to tone down their comments...<br><br>
If you wish to respond in the post (and you're free to do so... ) please do it by addressing the topic or their comment and pick your words carefully as to not attack them personally...<br><br>
It's hard to do this, I know.. and I've stopped myself on more than one occasion...<br><br>
Griz isn't here today, nor is carla - or they would have stepped in already.<br><br>
Please don't read my post as critical of any of you or your posts... just using the planning room for what it's intended.. working together to make the site a great place to be<br><br><br>
