I dropped on my foot? Well I didn't think much of it at the time, just some swelling and a nasty B+B. I never went to the doc or anything.

Now I find that I should have. It broke... The bone decided it wanted to tilt UP instead of settling back down. It doesn't hurt when I run, but I can't point my toes, no biggie there either, but the bone rubbing against the top of my sneaker has rubbed the skin, OFF. It won't heal because I keep running and it keeps rubbing.

Oh joy, something else to deal with. It's not bad enough to interfere with anything so I'm just gonna deal with it and see if I can get it fixd next off season.

Well, at least you can still run. I guess that's a good thing.

It's not really painful, just really ugly.

I would love to get it fixed now, but I think they have to re-break it and I am NOT going through that for some skin. Maybe a callous will form.

I have a hammer toe, so I get that same rubbing of skin off the top of that toe.

A dollar buys me a 5 yard roll of waterproof surgical tape at Wal Mart. I tear off a small piece of that, wrap it around the sore spot. and no more raw skin.

Same stuff works to prevent bleeding nipples too.

Cloth tape. It fixes everything!

Do not, however, store cloth tape in your vehicle. Summer heat will cause the glue to ooze, making the tape no longer sticky, but where ever the tape was will be sticky. And that sticky won't come off for anything!

Surgical tape? Cloth tape? Pfft! Just stick some duct tape on it. Or better yet, gaffa - you could leave that on for at least a week, no worries!!

I was thinking about droppig the brick back on it to see if I can fix it the same way I broke it.

No worries tithers. I'm in "training" for GCT and nothing is going to stop me. Nothing, I want to be on the far right of the stage this year.

Keep training like you are and you never know! You certainly have the drive and desire and that is mor than half the battle.
