That was easy.

Of course you can still discuss injuries in the main thread, but consider this the Honeycomb hideout for all things fuckity (medically speaking).

Sisu - Cool picture. I hope you are wrong and a couple of pt sessions will get you fixed up. ((((Sisu)))

My foot is fucked up. Fuckity fuck!
Please get it checked out asap!! I hope it's just something minor but listen to it if it won't stop being fuckity.
Welcome Outthere! Hope you are feeling better!

Sisu...cool pic! Please keep us posted with your knee!! I have been thinking about you and am worried about you and your knee!

JB; What happened with PT?? I must have missed it!! I think yoga would help with your flexibilty issues!! just sayin!!

Andi: (((((HEALING VIBES))) for that foot!! I HOPE it is something simple and no injury!!

Abb: how is your it band doing?? Remember to cut back with that running while it is healing!! I know it is hard!!

Well I have not had any more graston appts and my knee seems to be holding up fairly well!! I did run at the arena on Monday night and lets just say my knee felt fuckity that night durring my run!! I know my IT/PF starts with my rigid foot and all the other biomechanical problems that go along with it BUT I am begining to realize that the track messes it up further. The last 2x I ran on the track before graston I had lots of pain! I guess I will need to break down and get that treadmil! But I feel better this time knowing I have a better grasp of what is going on down there and a better plan of action!!

Wishing you all some speedy healing......Stay strong!!
sb - just a thought - I run loops around my neighborhood and the local high school track coach recommended switching directions 1/2 way through so that you stay balanced.
well I go see Doc Green tomorrow. Hoping for some simple painful ART. I'll post tomorrow.
Thanks ANDI, I have heard of that too. The only problem with the track is that they have directions posted as to what days you go what direction..when I am the only one or two on it, it is not a problem to go opposite midway thru, but when there are more then that I am continually having to dodge people!! I think I just need to avoid that place like the plague!!

BATMOMM...WTH.....is wrong????? Do not say your IT BAND!!!!
ABB....I found this the other night...the first stretch they show is for tight IT bands...it works!!! I love it and have noticed a diff after doing it!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_0Edu8sxRk&NR=1
Everybody's gone and I'm finally done! My entire house is CLEAN! All of the clothes are washed! Goodie bags are made. Snacks are ready for tomorrow! The cake is ordered! Folding the last load of laundry the going to bed! Sleep well RMAD's!
I'm really fucking tired of waking up every day and something being fuckity!
For fuck's sake, I'm not old yet!!! Lately it's my left knee. Other days it's my left ankle or right hip. Its not like I'm frigging putting in 60 mile weeks or doing speed work. It's very discouraging. I really wanted to feel like I was more prepared for race season right now and I'm not feeling ready at all. It just feels like if I really exerted myself I would definitely pull something right now.
OK, end rant.
sorry, I am really sounding like a whiner these days...this new blanket of snow is not improving my frame of mind. But I know many of you have worse injuries than mine. I'm going to try to really incorporate a daily regimen of stretching more often. I think that is the cause of much of my problems or at least a contributing factor. I just have had barely enough time to run lately, much less anything else.
JB - They wrote about stretching in RW (last month I think). The author wrote that you would gain more from cutting your run by 1 mile a day so you can stretch than you gain from running the extra mile. Just something to think about. I have really been trying to stretch more lately and I feel a lot better.
For what it matters I stretch all the time and I always have. I am sure it has kept me healthy. I stretch in my office during the day too.
JB this is the place to bitch and moan..did you forget the name of the thread??

I know how you feel...spent all last fall and early winter beign the smart runner and gradually building up my base so I would be ready for my half training this spring...only to be dealing with the fuckity it band again!! SOmetimes it seems like life just continually keeps kicking me in the ass! I also deal with the WHY ME....A LOT!! I totally get what you are saying about how some can run 60 mpw..pain free and I struggle to get in my 20. It sucks and it is no ones fault.

Hang in there..for me it is coming down to a lot of trial and error.

PS I thought about googling FUCKITY RIGID FEET last night but then thought better of it!! FUCKITY RIGID FEET!! they suck!!

I feel better. I am really, REALLY missing running. For those of you who don't know, I have an apparent stress fracture in my 4th metatarsal in my left foot. It was a problem before I started running but the running has aggravated it. I need to watch my diet and really GET ON TRACK for the tail end of my 1/2M training for May!

Sorry JB. I know it is so frustrating. Believe me, PF gets me most days that I question the whole point of running. Yet, then I get done with my run and the world seems to be a better place. I read that article in RW that Andi mentioned and it does make sense. I have stretched much more and noticed a change. I know it sounds redundant but stretching is the way to go.

I also think that when the snow finally melts and you get some solid days of warmer temps and sunshine it will get better for you. Sounds like the gloomy weather is hampering your mood too which is a bummer. The winter on the east coast is just hanging on, so sorry!
You can do it. You are doing great with getting on the stationary bike. Keep it up you will make it for your hm. However, NO DD Boston Creme doughnuts for you missy! Or the accountability thread will have your hide!
