Okay, so my speed hasn't done quite what I hoped to do with my speed.

I haven't done a half race recently, but based on training runs I'm positive I can do it in less than 2:10.

Do I have any chance of running my marathon in November in 4:30, or do I need to cut back?

oops, let my secret goal out... what do you think?

If you can run a sub-2:10 half now, a 4:30 marathon in November isn't out of the question at all. According to them prediction tables -- which are only rough guides, particularly when you project out to long distances -- a 2:10 half projects to a little over 4:30 for a full. Train well for the full, and I don't see why you couldn't shoot for 4:30.

If you have access to a track Yasso 800's might be your answer

It seems if you and do 10 800's (1/2 miles) in the time you want to do your marathon you have a good shot at it.

So for you you'd need to be able to do 10 4 min 30 sec 800's

Isn't that like 5 miles at 9 min miles? I can't do that now. 5 miles is closer to 9:30 per mile I'd guess. :/ 9:33 for 10K anyhow
