<p>That's what I was told today when I went over to collect an old friend for a catch up coffee.</p>

<p>He'd retired a few years back but I ran into him in the office two weeks ago and he told me he'd be here for a while on contract.  We arranged this coffee date.</p>

<p>He was exactly as they described him.  Neat guy.  The news didn't hit me like losing my dear friend in the Haitian earthquake, heck, I didn't even know he was the one casually discussed over the water cooler...</p>

<p>I saw the news article and probably know the rescue people.  I haven't actually visited the area but I know where it's located, just West and South of Smithers.  Very tough country to visit.  No roads to speak of and quite mountainous.  Georgous scenery in both winter and summer.</p>
