Ok Dr I come into you after going through 2 others (starting 3 months ago)to get here. I originally went in for this problem 16 years ago. Now if it hasnt gotten better (in fact its gotten much worse) in 16 fucking years why are you telling me to think about the surgery and come back in three months. I want it now! I am fucking tired of not being able to train and I dont want to wait another three months. Why did you just keep cutting me off and not listening to me? I am so friggin frustrated...

Need new doctor. Call Kaiser.. don't let them say no.. if they do ask for their supervisor, threaten write a written appeal and cc the insurance commissioner .. that usually scares 'em good!<br><br>
That 3 month BS is total .. well BS. They have like this prescribing code they all have - refer you to PT for 3 months... let you use up most or all of your PT bennie BEFORE surgery .. then when you get the surgery you are up the creek... ( have the T-shirt and scars!)<br>
The last knee thing, I told my doc- Um I don't think so ... want referral TO-DAY. Then Ask around for a really good,... THE BEST ortho you can find for sports. OUr good ones here all work on the Ski teams.<br>
I hope you are able to move the wheels of medical stupidity!

Update: I have an appointment tomorrow with a different Dr because they had a cancelation! <img alt="banana.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/banana.gif"><br><br>
This is what the other Drs notes say online:<br>
"<span style="font-size:small;">Continue with activity as tolerated.<span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Return if symptoms worsen or fail to improve, or in about 4 weeks (around 4/7/200<img alt="cool.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/cool.gif">."</span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-size:small;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:arial;">It only 4 weeks because he said three months and I said hell no...I am not living like this for another 3 months. Yet another Dr, it appears, did not take me seriously...</span></span></span></span>

I got what I wanted. I felt bad complaining about the other guy since my new doc works in the same office and I am sure knows him well but I told him why I was unhappy (didnt feel listened to) and he is going to book me for surgery. I am going to have to wait a while (few months) but at least I am in line! I never thought I would be so happy to have surgery. I am trying to figure out what life will be like without knee pain...I can't remember since it started when I was 12.

Ugh. Kaiser. Don't feel bad about complaining. The only people who actually get helped/treated at Kaiser are the ones that make the most noise. If you're a sheep, they'll be very happy to continue treating you like one.<br><br>
Beware - Kaiser is just fine if you're healthy. If you're really sick - they suck. They've already killed my Dad, and they pretty much did my Mom in too. Good luck.
