<p>It's pretty darned good.</p>

<p>They won't have any "hits" off it, but that's ok.</p>

<p>They're too old to be "cool".</p>
<p> </p>
<p>And too young to be "man, those guys are still playing great tunes".</p>
<p> </p>
<p>But a very solid listen, all the way through.</p>

<p>Cool. I dropped off of following them closely around the time Automatic For The People came out but I always thought REM's style was a little bit anti-cool and that's what animated their long, slow climb to fame. They were already solidly experienced and established artists by the time they hit it big so they don't seem to have been as vulnerable to the whims of fashion, sophomore jinxes, and things like that. Might have to revisit the boys from Athens. Thanks for the rec.</p>

Best album, by far, since Bill Berry had to leave the band.</p>

<p>Automatic for the People is my favorite album of all time...and my two favorite songs are on there... Nightswimming and Find the River</p>
