"Find a good hill, run downhill focusing on form and turnover. When you get to the bottom, jog up."

Jog up. I love it. Where else you gonna get solid advice like that? "Run really hard down the hill and then just, you know...jog up for recovery. Then repeat."

don't your race times suffer when you stop to pee on things while running up the hill?

I have no idea what any of you are talking about, Mr. Bannon.

I know that whenever I take my own advice and *try* to do DOWNHILL repeats -- and jog the ups -- I always, always, always wind up trying to crush, as Mike says, my own spirit based on the previous repeat.

I remember giving that exact advice to Yoshi... and then doing for myself with horrible results. I wound up charging up and down and down and up, and I suffered greatly for it due to no rest going into all repeats!

Great advice, Mike!

One thing I learned about hills repats is you have to stick with either 'DOWNHILL repeats' or "UPHILL repeats". You get more out them if you focus up or down.

As for the uphill repeats, I like Thor's 'dividing the hill into 3 segments'. It really helps to focus and maintain the even pace.
