The bike racks with strap, how do you fasten the bike to the rack and is it secure.

I have one of those racks. My rack will hold 3 bikes, and I've never had any problems with it. Once you place your bike on the rack, you tighten it down with these velcro things. After locking the bikes in, you are good to go! I never carry my bikes anywhere without locking them down with my bike lock. I have a horror of someone stealing my baby!!!!!

Kate - see how there's extra strap wound up in a rubberband (near C and G in the picture)? we use that - there's a lot of it. Really, just secure frame and both tires. We also use a couple of bungy cords that didn't come with the rack.

Okay , I'll have to check, it was given to me and I don't think they came with it. Anyone have a picture of their bike attached.

You're 4 hours too late in asking for the picture. Had 2 on my civic this afternoon.<br><br>
I'm in the same camp as Beth...use the xtra strap portion + a couple bungy cords.
