First off...sorry, my only internet access at home has been through an air card that I borrowed from my company and they needed it back. I haven't been in the office since Friday, so it's been a long weekend.

1. Why do you run? I got started running in an attempt to lose weight. I found out that I was faster than most, so I kept running to be more competitive. For now, I've given up on being competitive, it was too much mentally to try to stay near the top.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?
Family - I got married and had 3 kids all on the same day. When I married my wife, I also became father to her (now mine) 3 kids. Through step-parent adoption, a year later they became "official".
Racing - I won a 5K once. I've placed in the top 5 and top 10 a bunch of times in duathlons and 5Ks. My fastest 5K time was 17:47 (5:45/mi)
Internet - I started the CR profiles site (like an early myspace for runners). I started, developed and sold runningforums.com (word to my Riff-Raff)

3. What is your motto/theme song?
Motto - Given enough time and money, I can do anything.
How do you deal with bad runs? Usually lots of kicking and screaming.

5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How? Yes, food.

6. Who do you admire most? This list is by no means inclusive...
My mom and dad. They're like the country version of the June and Ward Cleaver.
A friend, Henry Forrest. He was one of the original Ironman finishers in 1978 (?). He did 5 of the first 6 Ironman races and did 1 more in the 2003(?) in his 60's. He has pancreatic cancer now. http://www.podiumsportsjournal.com/2...true-original/
Sheldon (tricoach_06) - He's one driven, opinionated guy. He reminds me of myself.

7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received? See my motto. My grandfather also told me once to keep my d _ _ k in my pants until I knew what to do with it. I've saved myself a lot of trouble following that advice.

8. What do wish you had learned younger? Self-confidence. I've got tons of it now. (see motto)

9. What do you wish you could do but can't? Smoothly get out of my mouth what's going on in my head. I've usually got good advice but rarely give it because my delivery is so bad.

10. How would your friends describe your personality? Quiet. I'm much more quiet in person than online.

11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit? Anything that covers the naughty bits. I usually wear compression shorts when I run because my thunder thighs chafe if I don't.

12. What has been your favorite race? Logan's Night Run (Spring) / Scholarship Run (Fall). It's the closest, flattest 5K that I know of. It's run at night twice a year. Entry fees are low and there's always plenty of food post race.

13. Do you have a goal race right now? No. My next race will probably be some local 5K.

14. What makes you happy? Wife, kids, running, cycling and playing guitar.

15. Tell us one interesting thing about you that you haven't said (at least not often) on this forum in the past. Umm...I can juggle. It's easier than it looks. I did the theme music for a TV show once.

16. Tell us one interesting thing about another user of this forum that has not been posted (at least not often) on this forum in the past (make sure the other person will not object to posting the info!). Tithers lets her bike get way too dirty.
