It's 7pm here, and nobody has reported today. What's up guys, all having a quiet day off after a hard weekend?

Well, I went to the gym and managed a 6Km treadmill run in 29:32, with an increase in pace each Km.

Have a good 10Km race on Sunday coming up in Belfast - Surprisingly rare race distance here in Ireland these days, so looking forward to it as another measure of where I am.

Nah, just too lazy to start the thread. I ran 10 miles this morning and have kicked off Day 1 of Carb Depletion as I will be running a marathon next Monday.

Breakfast was an omelette with some sausage. Lunch was two cheeseburgers (just the patties with cheese). I washed the burgers down with some Diet Mountain Dew. I'll have some string cheese to snack on this afternoon.

After denying myself of carbs for four days, running the marathon seems easy.

Lofcaudio - Have a good pre-marathon week - Always the one I hate the most (Aka RunForFun - Aka WI MTP)

I started 1st of 4 weeks in the "Need to develop Speed" - Run less - More Intensity with a recovery day - to get ready for tomorrow.

6.5 this am @ 7:30 pace
4.0 lunch run @ 7:30 pace

usually I would run 10 and 6 today. I'm thinking that I will need to cut my calorie intake these 4 weeks as I am cutting 20-25% from my mileage.

Good luck in sticking with that plan Lof...that would kill me. You too Mike...I think less running would give me more free time...aka more snack time. Good thing you have an iron will.

Easy-ish practice with like 2 mile warmup easy, .9 miles hard in 5:12 for 5:3X pace, then half mile easy on the track and then 9x100m striders.

Definitely not feeling very fresh for tomorrow's race (glorified hill workout) but I am hoping to do well since top 20 get medals. Only one conference opponent will be there and I beat everyone on their team last meet so hopefully I can repeat that. Getting a PR here will be tough with the stickiness in the air but the ground shouldn't be so mushy this time so who knows...

Track tonight. It was 90 degrees and humid and I felt it! The workout was 400, 800, 1 M, 800, 400, plus warm up and cool-down. I had some Powerade before the mile and felt like it was going to come back up while running. Note to self: Powerade is not Gatorade. Anyway, my times were: 1:41, 3:39, 7:53, 3:46, 1:46, mostly the targets I was supposed to hit but the mile and the last 400 were a few seconds slow. I will be eager to try this again when it is not 90 degrees and humid!

I've never done 400s on a track before, so I think it will take a few more sessions to get the feel of the right pace.

I had a rest day yesterday ... did 30 minutes of yoga and realized I've become incredibly inflexible! I'll be working on that.

I could never do the carb depletion, that's dedicated!
