Last night at the Brewmaster's Dinner, I was given the proof that Ben Franklin was right.

Mark Stutrud was discussing the history of beer and how before fermentation was really known, it was believed that God is good - and that's how beer happened.

This means that brewing is really a spiritual occasion. And, the end result of beer means the brewer is doing it right and God is pleased.

The whole history of beer is really that of faith.

Faith that the ingredients are going to work.

Faith that God is watching over the brewer.

Faith that what you are doing is right.

Therefore, Ben Franklin was right: Beer is the PROOF that God loves us.
