Dammit. I can't keep my weekends under control at all. As of yesterday I was down 7lbs, on track to be down 8 or even 9 lbs for the week today.. One gluttonous dinner last night (which seemed rather benign by my standards) and I'm only down 5lbs on the week.

I'm super swollen and puffy from Saturday's race (Moab Red Hot 55k), so going to do the weigh-in on Wed of this week instead. I'm guessing I'm artificially up about 10lbs today, which is pretty typical after a race.

Held even. Weather wrecked my plans last week. Did manage 28 total miles with a half marathon mid week. Still not very good with my diet. Cold weather makes me hungry. Spring is around the corner, though.

I raced the Moab Red Hot 55k over the weekend. The weather was nearly perfect... 30-45 and raining. The wind was INSANE though... it was a point-to-point course into a 30-40mph headwind nearly the entire day. Still managed to set a 27 minute PR though. The rain helped pack down the desert sand a little and there was no snow on the course, so at least the course was somewhat fast. I dropped 6lbs in one day (yesterday) after the antidiuretic hormone wore off. Back to my normal weight now.

Disappointing - I believe the cold / flu that hit me Sat-Mon the week before had left me in a little bit of a hole. I think if I had been 100% I could have run a 2:57-2:59. I found a little mojo mile 12-17 - I thought I was going to roll the rest of the way - Then I died and shuffled in. I was never on sub 3:00 pace. Maybe a 1:32 / 1:35 for the 1/2s.

Last 4 miles I was 30 seconds behind 1st OA female - I usually would go get her ... I really had no desire for that level of pain, so I just focussed on her butt and let it pull me in to the end of the pain.
