I decided to do the club's prediction run last night. I usually do the 10k, but I was pretty sure that was a stretch. I decided to predict 19:15 (which is my half marathon pace before injury ). 19:08 actually - so I'm pretty good at predicting myself at out-of-shape form. And I was certainly correct in assuming that 10k was not doable.

my calf is better, I just feel that weak spot once in awhile. (reminder to self: "Sue, get thee ass to gym and strengthen calf muscle!!!). I ran 2.5 hours on Sunday and it went well, but the terrain was gravel, grass, dirt.

I'm debating the local 10k on Saturday...looks like the calculators predict my 5k time to convert to just under 40. respectable. Not sure if it'd give me a confidence boost.
