I am getting pretty tired of one of my friend's frequent comments when we get together for meals. Yesterday is the latest example. Our running group had a barbecue and people brought different items: hamburgers, Boca burgers, hot dogs, etc. I was in charge of hot dogs so brought lower-fat turkey dogs (not fat free or anything). Well she brought her own "real" hot dogs because she knew I was bringing the hot dogs and teased me more than once about my healthy ones.<br><br>
In the past when I have brought things to potluck dinners she has made her own version along with them. Sure I usually make recipes from Cooking Light, but they don't taste bad; I can cook ... what does she think mine will be "too healthy?"<br><br>
I kind of don't want to do any more potluck events with her any more.<br><br>
What gets me is she's a fitness instructor and runner too, has ~50 lbs. to lose (most post-pregnancy from having a baby in July), and every few weeks announces how she is again re-committed and re-focused on making the right eating choices for weight loss again. Changing some cooking methods could help do that (but I'd never make comments to her about that.)
