Out on my date last night we were at the Rex.<br><br>
For those of you (I'm guess ALL) who don't know- the Rex is the quintessential place to get live Jazz in Toronto. It's also a sleazy scummy dirty dodgy dive. It's a fucking hole in the ground. Dirty dirty dirty disgust .<br><br>
The couple next to us are loading up on drinks.<br>
The cheesecake comes.<br>
It has a ring.<br>
They're smashed- they're at the Rex- and he's asking her to marry him.<br><br>

Still together after all these years.<br><br>
My point being, the location and ambiance aren't important to everyone. For some, those things are secondary to the just being together.<br><br>
Granted, we were college age. Makes a difference.
