This is what we use at the CoolRunning B&B Forum (where most of us here have migrated from) to keep tabs on who has upcoming races, where they are at, what distance they are, etc. It's nice to have a quick summary like that because you can see at a glance who has a race coming up and where it's at. This is obviously a much smaller group that what we have over at B&B, so it might be premature to start something like this here . . . . I just wanted to play with the poll feature mainly ! LOL
Tammy, have you checked out the race calendar (link on the top menu)?

I think the calendar would be much more useful if each event could be its own thread... so instead of some static event information from one person, you got a dynamic thread that included all the participants and could serve as a way to coordinate meet-ups, etc.
you know, I never looked at that before and even forgot KR had a calendar feature . . . I'll check that out. Thanks.

ok - so now I need to come up with some other poll, since this one is sort of moot. . . .
I did add the Humboldt Marathon next month. There is a feature to add a single day event. just might have to look around for it Pro. However, from what I can tell, it just lists the event . . . so you aren't seeing if there are any other folks from KR running in it. But I could be missing something . . . wouldn't be the first time . . . nor the last.

The Intrepid list at CR was nice because there were SOOOO many of us there and that's how so many of the boomers got to meet each other . . . at the races. Plus,in huge ones like NY, Baawston or ChiCago, you'd see who else was going to be there and could try to coordinate a rendezvous. It probably wouldn't have the same effect here since there are so few of us . . .

good idea for a poll Mill! See . . . .that's why YOU are a moderator!
I voted for an intrepid thread with the Tamster as thread queen, so sign me up, if this doesn't fly, in keeping with Millbots suggestion, Tamster's next thread should be #5 other.
What degree of knowledge/experience/enthusiasm about running should one have to be employed at a "real" running store??

I ask this because on my trip last weekend, I stopped at a running store in Reno (I'm obsessed that way ) and the little girl who worked there, while being a hottie, wasn't a runner, and couldn't answer some of my ?? about local places to run.

but as long as she was wearing shortshorts and a sportsbra, it probably didn't bother you much, right????
I see I'll have to be shopping at Millbots running store now . How long does it take to get to Utah anyway??
That's the perfect time to use the old line...... "i'm here shopping for some sports bras, tops, and shorts for my wife/gf. I'm not sure about the sizing, but she has a build almost identical to yours. Would you mind trying on a few of these items so I can decide which ones I like best and think would fit her?"
........well, I don't really Race anymore, but it'd be fun.........

.........I also liked millbot's poll idea,

unless it's Illegal..............in which case

''it's all millbots' fault''
Millbot could sell $85 shoes for $300 if he could hire some hotties .

Millbot is always trying to start trouble; isn't he?
