Hello everyone. I hope everyone has settled into the new forum. Not as bad now that the dust has settled, eh?

Before I offer the poll question, I thank everyone for participating.

Regarding how the game ends, I read your ideas and found that the last round (24 days) was too short and that also some would like to see a race with an ending, i.e. like what is planned this round to end at a finish line in Maine at some 6900 miles.

At our current rate of progress, we are on about a 2000pt per week pace, or 3.5 weeks until a team reaches the goal 6900 miles. (Projected: May 20)

I pose the question to you all: How would you like the game to end?

- A pre-determined end date? (Apr 27 - May 31), where the top team wins?

- A set point total (6900, or 8000, or 10,000), with no set dates, but where the first team to xx points wins?

There are pros and cons to both ways. Also, keep in mind that Memorial Day weekend falls right at the 4 week mark. I'd hate to see some participants not able to play due to family getaways and such. For example, if its a race to the finish, I'd hate to see a team win or lose due to players not accessing computers due to holiday. (Also, I just did not envision this game to be a function of speed to enter in the workouts.)

I had set the May 31 end date for a couple reasons: players from last round mentioned the game ended too soon, and that the game would end well after the Memorial Day weekend and to ensure that everyone has a day or two to enter in their scores.

What do think? A pre-determined end date, or point total?

I have my recommendations, but ask for your input too.
Thanks,
