A moderator or site admin (Rich and Sierra) will have access for making threads sticky. Since there is no mod yet, that leave the site admins
Kick the tires all you want - but not while we're riding the bikes

Good seeing you all venture over here to at least take a looksie
I finally made it in....
It's friendlier looking here....with a group of folks that I'm starting to consider online friends. I"m looking to do my first tri this spring, and will likely be coming for mucho helpo as it gets closer.

A thread that always stays at the top of the list. Usually put there by moderators (for example "Rules of This Forum". But it would be great if we could vote amongst ourselves to have the mods make the "Newbie Amnesty" thread sticky.
he he he...well, the guy that told me about it has a reputation for going "for the beer". But, he seems to think it will be a good one to start out for me.....they've got a fat tire division so I won't have to feel out of place riding my mtn bike. So, I can try a tri, then decide whether to shell out some money for a different bike.

One of my students (who finished IMFL 20 min after Tithers) mentioned that he thought I might like to stay on the mtn bike as long as possible, so that I'd feel (and be?) fast when I make the switch to a different bike.
