Does anyone happen to know of any good trails to run (training runs) in the poconos? I have a house in Mt. Pocono (near Stroudsburg) and I am trying to figure out some good trails to run on the weekend since I will be up there a lot this winter to snowboard.

I know that the AT is not too far away (going east on I80 from stroudsburg probably about 30 min) but I have never tried running around there so I am in the dark...

Any help?

Thanks,
i know there are a lot of trails in Jim Thorpe area, you can find a lot of info online. I have never run up there. I wish i have. I love the Poconos, but we usually go for kayaking, not running.

I actually want to start doing some running up around Jim Thorpe this coming summer. Here is a list of trails from Blue Mountain Sports up there. I think it's mostly for mountain bikers, but the info should be good for hikers/runners too. http://www.bikejimthorpe.com/trails.php3

I am bro. We conversed on CR about a possible P.U.G.-Philly Ultra Group, and doing a long fatass this winter. We were also involved in planning that run at French Creek State Park. You could also "run" on the AT which is a little south of Mt. Pocono. I use quotes because the AT is covered in rocks, makeing running quite difficult.
