We have rented/purchased homes where inevitably someone has planted a crapload of these. As a dutiful tenant, I am the one that has to prune the m-f'ers. I.can't.stand.roses.

They are mean little turds that always seem to require more nurturing than a petulant three year old.

I have always been of the opinion that if roses don't like where I live, they can f-off and die. There are much prettier, more gentle, easier to manage flowers that I actually enjoy being around.

Ok. that was some pent-up hostility. wow. Sorry.

That's really funny, made me laugh. I have three floribunda rose bushes under my care. I love the smell, but they ARE mean bastards. What cruel beauty!

Oh yes, thistles. We have those lining many of the walking trails in my town. You need to be careful during your walks or they'll hurt you. Morning Glory is a relative to the hateful field bindweed. Therefore, I shall hate morning glory, in solidarity with you.
Not too fond of ivy.

Oh, and also, brussels srpouts and egg plant. But I suspect that's not what you meant.

Ivy is terrible. It chokes trees.

Speaking of Round Up...what a godsend.

I used to be anti-herbicide.

Until I met field bindweed. Pulling and digging is no match for bindweed. Only sweet, sweet glyphosate (Round Up) has controlled it in my vegetable patch.

A joke I heard:

A new homeowner asked a master gardener how to deal with the field bindweed in his yard.

The master gardener said "sell your house and move."

Yep, these are some awful plants.

Except the blackberry.

One person's invasive species is another person's delight.

I've never seen kudzu.

But I get the word confused with yuzu, which is some sort of citrus from Asia.
