I did the 50k at Pineland last year. About 1/2 hour after finishing I announced in front of friends & family "maybe I'll do the 50-miler next year!" ... for which I received a bunch of good-natured ribbing from my husband for months following, reminding me that I once questioned the sanity of running a marathon . I'll be returning this year for the 50 miler (my first).

In my race report from the 50k, I posted the elevation profile for the 25k loop. There's not anything ridiculously steep, but there aren't very many flat sections. The course isn't really technical though, making for easy footing. The aid stations were awesome. I didn't actually eat too much of their offerings as I'd trained mostly with just Gu and mostly stuck to that, but volunteers were super helpful and offered a lot of moral support too. It's a great race, well-organized, and .... COWBELL! Who doesn't need more cowbell?
