Registration for Pineland Farms is open. I am thinking about running the 50 mile. Does anyone have any opinions on the race?

I did the 50M a few years ago. I thought it was a great race. I was not hugely in love with the course, but the organization, etc, was stellar and if I lived closer, would totally go back! It is a lot of rolling hills, and since I am a weenie and walk most hills, i never felt like I got into the groove, ever, for 50 miles, if that makes sense? I felt like the effort was similar to VT50 but not the long climbs and down hills. The 13 hour cutoff is generous and allows for all runners to finish this race. The Shwag was top notch too!

I did find it not too scenic and a little boring, but great support and awesome after party :) I will not be able to attend this year, but hope to one day get back up there. I am, instead, probably doing the Bethel Midnight Boogie!

I run in farm lands every day. It was not bad at all and one of my more enjoyable 50M races, but I found it not as scenic as others I have done. Though nothing is less scenic than the JFK 50! LOL. I think it was the loops and the tediousness of the rolling hills that made it not as enjoyable as other races. If you like cows, try the Fingerlake 50's in early July, one of my more favorite races!!!!!

have a great race everyone!
