Is anyone else training for this?<br><br>
I'm doing it with Team in Training and I"m really excited. The 11th is my birthday so what better a birthday present than to join the marathon club. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/hello2.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hello1">

Im not sure if I will run the HM or not. It all depends on how I feel after Philly in November. I live here in the valley so its not like I need to book a plane ticket and a hotel if I decide at the last minute to run it. Ran the full last year. Flat course, some scenic areas, lots of crowd support and <b>bikegirl,</b> lots of TNT support ( I ran with them last year ) Youll be amazed how much TNT purple youll see either running or on the sidelines supporting.

I've done the half the past 2 years and am planning on doing it again. I would do the full, but have been recommended not to do a full that close to IM in April. I am thinking about a December marathon. I know there is one in Tucson, but in a way, I'd like to chalk up another state, so I'll have to look around.

<b>Cactus</b> may I suggest the Las Vegas Marathon? Its on December 2nd. Neither New Mexico or Utah has a December marathon. Tyring to keep in mind the fact you have already run a Cali marathon while looking at Marathon Guide

While I won't be running in the LV marathon, I might be in Vegas at the time on a mini vacation.

wow. i'm so excited! i figure it will be nice to cross marathon off my list of things to do before i'm 30.<br><br>
i'm very excited to be with TnT. I needed the emotion support of a group near me. But my heart is in it for the cause as well. Makes it easier to get out there and run.<br><br>
Hopefully i'll get to meet up with some of you!

<b>Bikegirl-</b> I work just a few blocks away from the expo in downtown Phoenix. Even if I dont run the race, I could head over at lunch on Friday and try to meet you over there. Most TNT folks get to Phx either Thursday night or Friday morning and all seem to hit the expo on Friday. Thats how I met <b>Cactus</b> for the first time this year.

Probably going to try to do the half again this year...I had "planned" on doing the full, but changed my mind with the traveling I did this year...That, and I hiked the Grand Canyon (rim-to-river-to-rim) on Saturday, and I'm not feeling like running much yet...Okay to skip some runs for a half...Not for a full.<br><br>
Enjoy the race Bikegirl...There are a ton of people, and Frankie is right...More purple than you can possibly imagine.

if you haven't registered yet, you can use "GOLDPDR" in the marathon coupon field and save $15. or "HAPPYPDR" in the half and save $10. they expire 15 november.<br><br>
also: the preferred corral entry officially closed this weekend, but i sent my request in anyway. last year they didn't get 500 people, so if you have the qualifier and want to start at the front (i highly recommend it) see their website for details.<br><br>
will likely be staying saturday overnight with a bunch of tucson folks in scottsdale at the summerfield inn.
