Bummer...
woke up this morning (and yesterday morning, and the day before) with a racing heart, very tired, sore body, and no desire whatsoever to workout. I think I'm getting overtrained. Coach says it's normal to be this tired. I just want to sleep all day and not do anything

Bah. Grrrr.r.....arrrgh.

Sounds like you need to take a "me weekend" and get some rest.

Hijack...BTW, I am using the HIM swim plan that you gave me last year. So far so good. You rock! Thanks!

Back to the original subject. Take a couple of days and pamper yourself and recharge the batteries. Get back into it on Monday.

I myself had scheduled in a free weekend, which really would have netted me a solid 4 or 5 days with nothing more than a short daily run, when I got whacked with the Flu. So although I was down for the count and crying for momma, I got the rest I needed... two weeks worth!

That's just to say that you aren't the only one. Take some time now, recharge your energy and enthusiasm, and then get back out there. Your workouts will be that much better for it. Because when you're refreshed you'll have more power and much more quality rather than merely suffering through.

I think tired is a normal consequence of training hard. The racing heart thing isn't. That might be an indication you're pushing too hard and need a rest. What the heck - maybe a margarita binge is in order!?!?

Take it easy for a few days Meg

My Coach keeps telling me that if 1 or 2 missed sessions make the difference between winning or loosing (In your case) or finishing or not (In mine) then we are both doing something wrong
